Does the Chrome/Pipedrive app have to be open to sync call logs?

If we install the App Connect in Chrome,  connect it with Pipedrive, and then never open the App Connect plugin again, will it still automatically sync calls and texts to the Pipedrive deals?  For example, if I have a salesperson who solely uses RingCentral on their smartphone, are there extra steps that have to be taken to sync the calls and texts from RC to PD?

Or do you have to keep App Connect open? Or only make calls/texts from the plug in?

Hi ​@mikebgrandrapids You will need RingCentral admin user to login into App Connect, and setup server side logging in Admin panel:
https://appconnect.labs.ringcentral.com/users/server-side-logging/
And server side logging only supports calls now. For SMS/texts, it still requires each agents to open App Connect for logging.

@mikebgrandrapids When server-side call logging is enabled: no. But otherwise, yes. App Connect needs to be installed and open on each agents’ browser for their calls to be logged. 

People can make calls from a mobile device, and those calls will be logged the next time they login to Pipedrive and open App Connect.
