RingCentral App Connect and Pipedrive Contacts


I have installed the RingCentral App Connect in Chrome and connected it with Pipedrive. I can click to call from Pipedrive, but my Pipedrive contacts are not syncing back to RingCentral so when I use the RingCentral app on my phone, I cannot see my contacts if I want to call one of them while not in Pipedrive. How can I sync my Pipedrive contacts to RingCentral?

There’s no contact syncing feature from this extension per say. But on-the-fly contact match is supported. The difference is, you won’t see your Pipedrive contacts imported as your RingCentral contacts, but within the extension itself, it remembers which number belongs to which contact and therefore can log calls under it.

 

As I’ve replied you in another post, there was a bug on user session validation. The contact matching might not working properly, due to user session issue. It should now be fixed.

Thank you. I’ll work on manually importing the contacts to RingCentral. Hopefully there will be a two way sync down the road.

@cmunchhof This is something we are actively investigating BTW. Without going into too much detail, we need to work through some technical challenges. We do not yet have a concept of a shared company directory of external contacts (only internal ones). That runs the risk of creating a lot of duplicate contacts within RingCentral. Stay tuned.
