What is on-demand trigger in workflow builder?

Thank you so much for asking about this - it reminded me to create the long-overdue documentation. You can now learn about on-demand triggers here: https://ringcentral.github.io/ringcentral-automator-docs/workflows/custom/triggers/on-demand/

I will admit, their utility right now is somewhat limited, but they are going to get increasingly more useful. For example, right now they can only be executed manually by a human via the Workflow Builder UI, but in the future these operations will be exposed via a REST API and via MCP - allowing you to integrate them into code flows or agentic AI systems.

Furthermore, input and output is provided in raw JSON - which is admittedly not very human-friendly. Expect this to change as well.
