Is RingCentral supposed to log the transcript or summary of the call within a “connect” note in Bullhorn? I have that option turned on in my settings, but I am not getting a transcript of the call in the notes.

Second, what would log a call as a voicemail? When I leave a voicemail it is logging in Bullhorn as a connect.

Thanks!

@bobbypoirier Good questions. I wonder what could be going wrong. Here are something to be mindful of:

  • Make sure you have the logging of transcripts enabled
  • Based on your report, it sounds like you do. Just remember you need to have AI Assistant enabled AND the logging of transcripts enabled.
  • It may take a little time to compose and log a transcript - even though you see a live transcript right there during a call. So the transcript may be getting logged, but on a delay. Please confirm.

It would be helpful if you took and shared screenshots of:

  • Your settings
  • Your call note in Bullhorn

Once you  do, we may need to schedule a brief call to investigate.

For the logging of voicemail… this refers to someone leaving you a voicemail, not the other way around. RiingCentral actually has not ability to detect whether you left someone a voicemail. From our perspective, the call was connected. It just didn’t actually connect to a human.

How long would it be between the call and the log being updated? I waited about 20 minutes and there isnt anything from the call under the note.  See attached.

@bobbypoirier A couple questions to make sure everything is setup properly:

  • Are you in the United States?
  • Do you have AI Assistant enabled?
  • Did you turn on transcript during the call?

I am sure you did all this, but I have to be super thorough.

Yes no worries,

Yes in the US

I believe I have AI assistant and enabled with transcribe.

The app connect only gives me the button to record, yes, I have been hitting record, and it tells the other caller that the call is being recorded.

Also, how often should I have to connect the app connect with bullhorn? Seems a bit excessive to have to connect my bullhorn to app connect via the settings every single day.

@bobbypoirier None of that is necessary. Do you see the live transcript in App Connect while a call is active? Recording a call and transcribing a call is different.

Please refer to the following documentation:

https://ringcentral.github.io/rc-unified-crm-extension/users/ai/

The updater tool said I was on the latest version but for some reason I was on a 1.4 version not the 1.5, I didn't have that option before. I had to remove and reinstall the extension

I have toggled on the AI and it seems to be working properly.

How often am I expected to connect bullhorn in the settings? I hope the updated version helps but the app has been making me connect to bullhorn usually on my first outbound call each day.

Thanks for the help.

@bobbypoirier

Version update checker bug will be patched in next version.

Frequently connecting to Bullhorn is definitely not normal. I’ll investigate it and let you know once there’s an update.

@bobbypoirier

I’ve applied an attempted patch. Please check if there’s any improvement.

Other than occurring on first outbound call every day, if there’s any pattern that you may notice, please let me know.

No improvement so far, very troublesome with trying to reconnect today, I was getting notifications that I wasn't connected to bullhorn but in the settings, it said I was.

I had to close all my windows and start over, then the connection worked, I will keep you updated on if it keeps making me reconnect.

Last question because it seems I have your attention, I’m just trying to understand if/how I roll this out to my team, will the desktop app or the mobile app ever have these logging features, or will this be specific to the extension only?

Thanks for all your help

@bobbypoirier

I’ll keep investigating this problem.

To use Bullhorn logging feature, end users would need to install the chrome extension. RingCentral desktop and mobile app don’t support it.

@bobbypoirier But once it is setup, your coworkers can use any device they wish to make and receive calls and App Connect will log them (if you have automatic call logging turned on).
