Recently in the last 3 or 4 months RingCentral decided that we couldn't use a duplicate email when setting up an account. I already have 3 conference rooms that we use the same email for. Now that I am setting up a 4th conference room I am prevented from using the same email address. Why? I wasn't asked to create new email accounts when the change happened so I don't see that duplicate emails are a problem since I have them. I can use the same email for notifications and the system doesn't have a problem. I see a check box to not look for duplicate addresses when setting up an account but it is greyed out. If I can't do it don't put a box on the screen. So what would be the problem with a duplicate address?

I want to create a list of phone numbers from my message list using this Python script but am hung up on the 'from' attribute since it is a Python reserved word. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I could copy and paste my chat message history in RC classic, but it's not working in the newest RC app 20.4.10.284. I need to download my chat message history logs for work. How to do it easily?

I need the full names of participants to show on the RingCentral Meeting report. Prior to July 15, 2020 the participant's full name displayed as indicated during the call. After July 15, 2020 the names are truncated on the report. How can I get the full name to show again?

All my group is using MacOS 10.13 or above, almost every time we start a Video conference with Glip, it prompts to download the RingCentralMeetingsInstaller.pkg again, which installs RingCentral Meetings.app, and its not an update, its the same old version that was already installed, dated 12 March 2019This is confusing each user, most are not tech savvy, as they need to run the installer, ignore the popup that suggests to login to a meeting, then go back to Glip, and pick Join again.There is no way for us to know whether it will need to download and install again or not, I cant predict or repeat it, but on my Mac, based on the downloaded files, its about 50% of the time, over 2 months and I video conference once a week, and this symptom occurs on every user, both on our local network and remote.I have submitted a support request for this, but no update as yet. Hello,This is a feature-add request. My organization wants to be able to identify cell meeting call-ins more quickly by name (not manually changing their name).All of our call-in people are RingCentral users, so the feature I am requesting would be for RingCentral to check the cellphone number of someone calling in, and if that number has been added to a RC profile, display the name of the person.Alternatively, if this is too complicated a feature, the ability to go into guest user phone numbers and manually set display names in RC so that when those numbers do call into meetings their name shows would be a good #2 solution.Thanks,

Can either the built in speakers for a laptop or the internal speaker in a workstation produce an adjustable ringer sound and not my USB headset when a call comes in? I don't always wear my headset and the ringer cannot be heard sometimes. Can the ringer sound only go to the internal speaker of a workstation, the built in speakers of a laptop or an external speaker so you know when a call comes in? Does this make sense?

We are using the Ringcentral API to pull sms data for our users. Pulling data the takes longer than 90 seconds to download causes the connection to drop. There isn't any way to pull that package without the connection dropping.

* Reposting so that I can be the point of contactHi there,I've been tasked with gathering and analyzing call logs for our company, but I'm running into problems grabbing the percent of calls accepted each month.If request all company call logs, some of the extensions I'm looking for aren't being returned. I suspect it's because the users associated with these extensions are "Not Activated" (Correct me if I'm wrong). I can see the % Answered KPI for these numbers on the analytics page, btw.I'm able to come up with the number if I call the API, requesting logs for those specific extensions. The problem is, with rate limits, the process is taking far too long. (I want to archive logs for every extension, as well.)Because of the way our phone system is set up, we're using some inactive extensions that only exists to forward calls to others. Hello I have a question about the call forwarding API, my current setup isMain Number (Mask Number) -> Forwards to Huntgroup (huntgroup contains 4 numbers)I want to forward the Main Number to an external number through the API by replacing the first Forwarding Number to the external number I want to forward to but I am getting the following error when I try to remove or update that number:RingCentralSDKHttpApiException: Device number cannot be deleted from the forwarding number listIt works on my Sandbox mode, forwards correctly, but when I change it to the Production mode it gives me the error above.Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Trying to make a WWW Node in the IVR Designer get the results of a REST webservice call.It makes the webservice call just fine. But, I don't see a way to get the results of the API call in any of the documentation.I need to be able to interpret the response to know which queue the caller will be put in after the API call. Is there anyway to view the body of the response on a Json Rest call from the IVR?

Hi, I'm trying to develop an app to download all voip calls content to my laptop.Unfortunately, to access my production data I have to prove that app works fine on sandbox, but in sandbox it is tricky to make voip calls and recordings.I can't make a call in my sandbox account, I tried to call myself or call some free numbers in USA, but anytime there is the reason for errors:1) The number you dialed has either been disconnected or is not a valid phone number. Please check the number and try again.2) There was not enough Calling Credit on your account to complete this callCould you please advice how to generate one voip call recording with some real sound for at least 2-5 seconds? (just for testing) Is there any way to publish the app to production without "testing in sandbox" if I can't generate the required data in sandbox?

Hello, I'm currently working on some enhancements to a custom Softphone like application that leverages the new-ish CallControll APIs. (Yes, I know some endpoints are still in their Beta phases... but are working, so kudos to the RC team!)We want to achieve an easy to use, hot transfer flow. Where an agent would call a client, get them on the line, put the client on hold, call a hunt group for another team member, conference everyone together and introduce the agent, then have the agent drop from the line.We explored using the 'Bridge' endpoint... and its working exactly how we expected... where it joins 2 active calls together, and puts them into 1. But, drops the agent that was joining the calls together :(.We would love a 'Conference All' endpoint, where we can join all party lines, then allow the agent to drop from the call. We're in the process of getting ready to roll out the fax function of RingCentral, starting with outbound faxing first [baby steps!]. While testing and fiddling with how we wanted it to look and feel, I would send test faxes, and then receive a Fax Message Transmission Result to my own email. So far, so good. I then finalized the configuration [I thought] and assigned the various fax lines their own email addresses. I also added user email addresses to each fax line [department-based] in preparation for their use. Now when I send a fax, the Transmission Result email is only going to the email address associated with the fax line, and not the actual sender [in this case, me]. Is there a way to change this? If you have 50 people associated with a given fax line, I don't want to necessarily have to give them all access to that email account. Or am I stuck? Suggestions certainly welcome!

I am trying to set up Call Handling to forward all calls from certain states (using area codes) to a particular extension. I know I can do this by adding an advanced call handling option, but can I bulk import the area codes I want somehow? One at a time, for over 300 area codes will be horrible. Thanks.
