I can see there is default numbers provided in sandbox environment we can use to send sms messages.

How can we add additional phone number to an extension? Is to possible to add more numbers?

You can add up to 4 numbers and extensions to your Sandbox Online account as referred here: https://service.devtest.ringcentral.com/
