Hi community,

During after hours, I need to assign AIR to let the caller know the office is closed and forward the call to a voicemail service.

However, the AIR service is asking if they can help once informing the client of the office hours. How do I create the rule to transfer to voicemail

Thank you

Hey! Thanks for stopping at the Community!
It sounds like you’re close on getting this set up the way you like it!

Try this to fix that rule so your AI stops asking questions and gets callers straight to voicemail.

How to Route AIR Directly to Voicemail

To stop the AI from asking "How can I help?", you need to change the call outcome in your RingCentral Admin Portal.

The Quick Fix:

Open Call Handling: Go to Phone System > Users (or Groups) and select your extension.

Select After Hours: Click on Call Handling & Forwarding and toggle to the After Hours tab.

Edit AI Receptionist: Under your AIR settings, look for the "After Announcement" or "Default Action" setting.

Set to Voicemail: Change the action from "Interactive/Conversational" to "Transfer to Voicemail."
Refine the Prompt: In the AI script box, simply write: "Inform the caller the office is closed and then immediately transfer to voicemail."
