We would like to setup a personal auto attendant in place of a voicemail greeting on a extension. For example if someone called my extension instead of getting a voicemail greeting they would get an auto attendant with say 2 options. One reach a member of my team and two would be leave me a message.

So we are pretty happy with the Salesforce CTI integration with Ring Central, with one exception. If a user is assigned a task in Salesforce to Call someone, and they do so, this actually creates a new task/activity log rather than have the ability to have the RC CTI app update and close the existing task. Assigning work to people through automation is one of Salesforce's great strengths, but the RC CTI essentially forces double logging if you want to use the CTI to log the call. Would love to see a way to choose to update an existing task in the CTI if it's on screen when the CTD is initiated.

Do you have a report that tells us the outbound caller ID for all our users and phones? At the moment we have to manually check everybody's account to see whether there outbound caller ID is correct on users who have more then one phone.

I would like the option for my clients to push "7" for a callback and instead of having the missed call show up as just a missed call it would show back as a callback requested if they did this.

Has anyone deployed RingCental Phone via MS RDP? We are attempting to do this so desk phone users can use the ring out feature.. The problem we face is we get an error message saying the software is in use once one person using the application.

A user wants to add the RC app on their phone so it rings when working from home. I have tried to add a softphone via 'Users->Phone & Numbers->Add Phone' but it won't like me add the app.I have tested on other users and can add the app successfully in the same window. Why would it not be working for this user?

I have tried every solution suggested, and still my iPhone app will not ring if it’s not in the foreground. I’m using an iPhone 7 Plus, I have checked all notification settings, I have turned background refresh on, and nothing works.If I uninstall and reinstall the app, it will work for a little while, and then it stops.when doing some research as though I were a developer, I noticed that iOS 13 made some significant changes to the way it handles VoIP calls in the background. I’m wondering if RingCentral has made all the required changes to be in compliance with Apple’s iOS.

Ability to change SMS Caller ID (for texting). Currently, it's using the Direct Number, would like the ability to change it to use a Main #.

We have a 3rd party application that pulls in call and SMS data from the API and uses the RingCentral extensionId to identify the sender or receiver as a staff member.We have a staff member using the latest version of the newest RingCentral app: https://www.ringcentral.com/desktop-app.html#ring-poc-non-promo.However, when she sends or receives SMS via this version of the app, the extensionId does not seem to be included in the data.Any ideas?

I have spent multiple hours with IT trying to figure out why calls forwarded from one extension to another were not ringing the other extensions. Finally figured out that it's because those extensions were showing offline, and evidently the only way to show those extensions as "online" is to log in to the "Phone" app (the icon with a phone) on a desktop/laptop. If you try to login to the phone app with a mobile phone it makes you use the RingCentral app (the icon with an R) and it will not show the extension as being "online" if logged in with the RingCentral app. Only if logged in to the phone app. So in essence, there is no way to accept a call to a mobile phone through the RC app that is forwarded from another extension. This is a major/massive oversite with the RC app. One of the most basic functions of a phone system where I want to forward a call that comes into my extension to ring to my assistant's extension can't be done unless my a

When deploying the desktop app it only works for the administrator, is there a "switch" i can use to install for all users? I downloaded the exe. looking for options. I know there is an MSI, but it is listed as "no updates" or "will not check for updates"

Hi all, I have a customer who is using the new RC app. They would like to use the Auto record for all users, but they have some staff who take phone payments, thus they need to be able to pause call recording for GDPR, however with the new APP this does not seem to be available, when you try to hit record whilst on a call, the app just comes up with an error??Since this, the customer has gone to use on-demand call recording and this is working fine within the new app, so its just the Automatic Recording Pause feature that isn't?Anyone with any ideas?

Seeking a solution to be able to have RING meetings on office tv screens in the waiting rooms where no PC is available....would a firestick or apple tv work or perhaps an app for smart tv?
