Are robo dialers capable of pressing keys to advance through IVR menus, and if so, do they tend to follow any specific strategy (e.g., spamming #)? I am trying to control the screen of a Mac running MacOS 10.15 Catalina. I can see the background image, but none of the open windows. I can move the mouse and grab windows and move them around which is seen on the remote computer, but I can't see what I am doing on the host computer. I think this is related to the Screen Recording security in Privacy, but Meetings is not adding itself to that feature and I can't seem to manually add it. How can I get full control of a users computer running Catalina?

We have a page group with both desk phones and Cyberdata device and when paging this group the desk phones work but the overhead speakers do not. In troubleshooting with Cyberdata we made a group with just the paging device. Trying to page from the desk phones to the test group receives a unexpected network error message BUT when paging from the RC mobile app on a cellphone this group works (using *84+groupnumber) and the page is heard from the overhead speakers. We initially thought it might be a firewall issue but since it works from the mobile app I think that is ruled out.Any thoughts on what might keep the desk phones from using the Cyberdata device?

I am installing the RingCentral app on several of our Macs,and unless I am missing it, I dont see a setting in preferences for the app to launch at boot/login.Is this set somewhere else?

If it's only one app for all communications why should I need to keep the RC phone app on my cell to make and receive calls? I don't want to use the GLIP/ RingCentral app and a headset in my office. The only option in that app says if it's turned off that i have to use the RC App to make or take calls. Is that still the case?

We are offering phone support to another established office in another town, we run separate businesses. When THEY make calls from their phone, caller ID (what the client see) should be THEIR phone number (not ours). It also would be nice to have an identification ring for when their calls get transferred here, we know to answer it differently. We have set a specific ring type set (in our phone's contacts), but that only works when that office calls us directly. We have call display set to "number called" so that is a temporary fix, but we are missing the caller display.

My ringcentral admin is getting personal text messages of selective ringcentral users in her inbox. She is getting personal texts from personal phone # to another personal #. Is this a security bug ringcentral should look into ?

How do you send a vcard with RingCentral (both softphone and mobile app)?

We are a U.S. law firm that uses RingCentral soft phones. With the last update we lost the ability to see the call duration by clicking the i button in the call log to see event details. Now we have to open the browser based call log to see duration of the call we just ended. See related post asking for duration to appear in the call log without clicking to view event details, which we would appreciate. The solution for that post was to click the phone icon to show duration of call in progress, but that is not accessible once disconnected. We need to be able to look at duration after the call to record time without resorting to the cumbersome process of signing into the web app call log.Lets vote this up to restore functionality that was useful and should never have been removed.

My router stopped working so I started using a regular switch to plug my RC phone into the modem. It now has a DHCP Failed error and "time/date out of sync" message. Along with the fact that it simply isn't working. No dial tone etc. I've power cycled everything multiple times. Power cycled the phone 3 times in a row. At this point I'm not sure what needs to be done.

Has anyone ever deployed the Chrome Extension for Ring Central via something like SCCM/GPO/Intune? I am attempting to do so using the ADMX method via Intune and am having a lot of trouble. This seems like it would be a pretty easy thing for Ring Central to support but I don't see any documentation on how to push our the chrome extension.

Hi - we'd like to be able to filter the content returned from a message store export to optionally exclude voicemails, faxes or SMS. The issue we're dealing with is that some our customer only want us to pull SMS, but the message store exports get really big because they also include voicemails. Ultimately, RC creates a big export zip file and we end up throwing away most of the content.I don't see an option like this in the API documentation for the message store exports.

I am out of the office frequently, so I have my calls automatically forwarded to my cell. When I answer from my cell, three out of four times, the other party cannot hear me and hangs up. I can hear them fine. Is there anything I can do to make the forwarding more reliable? In the US and I have ATT for cell service.

Hi, is there any way that we can reduce / stop the delay in a call when someone speaking and us hearing them and vice versa? as we seem to be constantly speaking over each other?

Here's the flow of my application. First, I made an application in my sandbox account and set the type as Server-Only (no UI). Then i used the client_id, client_Secret, unsername(it's the main company phone number mentioned in my account), server_url and extension_id. I used password with whicg i logged in in my ringcentral account but still I'm getting this error that "invalid resource owner credentials.". Can you please guide me how to get rid of this error. thanks
