I am building a RingCentral application on a server that for security purposes will not take any POST/GET variables other than a specified one. When I try to authenticate, the response url which contains the code as a query string variable with the variable name "code", causes my server to stop the script from running. I would like to change the variable name in the response url that contains the authorization code. Is this possible? Can it be done using response_type? RingCentral specifies on the API that response_type must be set to "code" so I'm not sure. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Why am I being charge for sending fax if the fax sending is unlimited?

What api do I use to get a notification of an incoming call on a particular extension with a Json response containing the phone number of the incoming call?

Is there a way to have users phones ring or beep or something for call queue calls even while they are on the phone? Many times we would prefer to quickly wrap up the current call and pickup the new call rather than having it flow to another agent. At night we may only have one agent available and if they are on the phone the caller waits in queue until they finish or the callers end up having to leave a voicemail. I would like to at least give them the option to place the first caller on hold and pickup the new call. Is there something we should be using besides call queues to set this up? I considered creating an extension but then it looks like the only option is to forward it to other desk phones or outside numbers, not just to another extension.

I have subscribed to the pubnub service using the following event filter:/restapi/v1.0/account/~/presence?detailedTelephonyState=true&sipData=trueI have user extensions 201 and 202 set up in a call queue with extension 2. When I call the main number and dial either 201 or 202 I receive push notifications as expected. Furthermore when I set the call queue to sequential ring order and dial 2, I am able to see the corresponding push notifications for both 201 and 202 as the call progresses. However, when I set the call queue's ring mode to simultaneous I only receive a notification that either 201 or 202 is ringing even though I can see both extensions are ringing. Why don't I receive a notification for each extension?

Hi. I'm new to developing. The more and more I work with the ring central platform apis the more and more my confidence grows. So thank you for the amazing documentation. My question is related to ringouts and presence. Im currently building out a system that centrally places ringout calls to users deskphones and manages their ring central presence. The server is logged into one specific ring central account to manage all extentions related to that account. When I complete and connect the ringout call from the server, the user I rangout to's presence doesn't change (nor did their telephonyStatus). However, the central account I'm using I called with did. I've seen a few threads on here about updating presence, which will work for this potentially. But has me a bit cautious to use. My system is dependent on ring centrals presence being accurate as my users do not make 100% of the calls out of this system. Is there another way to make this a possibility?

So, i have a subscription event working with the message-store filter. What is the interaction between the Chrome extension and the Desktop app? Some of our users just started using the Chrome extension. They are all softphone-only users. I have heard of a few instances of not being able to pick up calls on the extension, or dropped calls from the extension. We did not have any reliability issues like this when only using the Desktop app. They both ring at the same time too and the co-existence is confusing. Can anyone comment as to the configuration differences between the two and why we may be experiencing issues with the Chrome extension?

Hey guys, so let me share an issue we have encountered with our RingCentral customer. A month ago a customer reached out with a problem regarding their inbound transfer scenario. It appears that we do not log the calls that their secretary receives, so we use one of our resources to get a stack of the events. At a first look I believe that some events do not log in our system because of how we parse the events, when I gave a second look I noticed that we do not receive events for this calls.For some reason, we receive inbound events for other numbers, but when we call from the root number we do not receive events for this inbound call or for and transfer that happens thereafter. My question is: Are there configurations or blockers in such a scenario?

We are looking for a developer who is experienced with the RC system so that we can create drip SMS campaigns that are sent directly from the users Windows Softphone. Our CRM currently has SMS capabilities however it is done with short code SMS and we want the messages being sent direct from the agent so that a conversation can be started instead of answering messages that were forwarded from short code.

I'm creating a browser app to use rest APIs. One critical feature is to show waiting calls. I tried to use subscription to get notified when there's new incoming call. But subscription seems not working for either active-calls or call-logs API. I got invalid event filter error.So subscription doesn't support call logs?

RingCentral for desktop is not currently supported in a virtual environment, and I have not seen an anything saying it will be a feature going forward. RingCentral for Desktop apps can no longer operate in a vacuum, but must be integrated with a broad range of Virtual Desktop (VDI) enterprise technology infrastructure.Do you have a plan adding the RingCentral for Desktop app into Virtual desktop infrastructure?
