I am working on an application calling the RingOut REST endpoint.When I specify identical 'from' number and 'callerId' numbers the API functions as I expect and the calls are placed.When I specify different 'from' number and 'callerId' numbers the API returns a 'FORBIDDEN' status.I have narrowed the difference in the two calls to only that difference and cannot find anything specific in the documentation that points to this as an issue.Is there a way to call the endpoint with different 'from' number and 'callerId' numbers?

I am looking for an installable copy of version 10.2 for my Windows desktop. I installed 10.3 this morning and my mic wouldn't work. I contacted Support and they don't have it.

I've had an unusual charge appear on our last billing statement. I've attempted to open a chat but no agent ever appears. I've attempted to open a case but get an error message. I don't know how else to get a response from RingCentral. Can someone please call me?

When I am making phone calls. I usually press 0 for operator and things like that. Before the 10.3.5 update, I was able to just press keys on my keyboard to input as a touch tone phone. Now that doesn't work unless I click the "Keypad" button during the call.

When Do Not Accept Call Queue Calls are turned off on Ringcentral Phone and you go from Available to Do Not Disturb on Glip it automatically turns your Ringcentral Phone to Accept Queue Calls. This did not use to happen. It started happening in one of the latest updates. Can you change so that the Queue Call toggle button doesn't get turned on in the Phone when available in Glip?

When trying to call a co-worker using just the extension in the new RC mobile app, it doesn't work. We get a recorded message that says " Sorry your call cannot be completed" then a fast busy signal. Extensions work using the desktop app. Is there a setting in the mobile app to allow dialing extensions and not the entire 10 digit number?

I am having someproblems w RC. When I am having a video conference with someone who is on their Android based phone sometimes they will get a message "you are using your audio device" and it will disconnected from the video conference with me.

I have around 800$ a month of calling credit packages and I'd like to know where this comes from and how can I lower my bills.The "usage info" section in my billing-ServicePlan page shows that I have 5,839 minutes of unlimited usage. So I finding the industries and competition is becoming dirty and just using system to mess with us... I real compliment to our work.. ha.. although it is taking away from productivity which is the reason they doing this... sending deal VM to our system regularly four times a day.. I have 3 voice prompts and 2 ext's. When I'm logged in on ext101 I can see all missed calls and receive VM's on the app. The challenge is when calls come to ext 102, I don't see missed calls and the VM gets emailed to me from RC stating I need to log into ext 102 to listen to it. Im a small operation and have "super admin" rights, why does one have to log in and out all the time?

Hi Guys,I'm writing an application for a call center environment and I've got a couple of related questions ...1 - Can an account have multiple inbound lines with different phone numbers?2 - If (1) is a "yes", how can I determine which of those inbound numbers was dialed when I receive a presence call event in a WebHook for an extension? (noting that the "from" field will have the callers number and the "to" will have the extension number)3 - If (1) is a "no", how does it work then? Does a call center need multiple accounts i.e. one for each inbound phone number?4 - If (3) is a "yes", can those different accounts share the same extensions so that calls can be routed to the same handsets/extensions no matter which line they came in on?Thanks for the info

With the RingCentral Meetings and Phone applications there's the ability to login via your Google Account.  However if you have your Google account protected with 2-Factor Authentication using a security key you get stuck after entering your username and password as your are presented with the following:Has anyone found a setting you can update so that you can login?  Switching to using 2FA with a code or app isn't an option.  For now I'm just using my RC username and password as a workaround.Thanks.

Hi Guys,I've successfully got inbound call call connected events coming through to my WebHook when a call is picked up by an extension which is fantastic.I also need to know though what the number is that the caller actually dialled initially (not the extension but the actual original calling number) ... how do I find that out? It isn't in the json blob that the WebHook receives.Thanks for the help

Fax API is very slow and appears to miss random pages. A 5 page document may be received in random order and over the course of 3 hours.

For some reason, when I try to add an embedded video inside a Note in Glip, after saving it simply disappears. As if I never put it in at all. I'm even using the video embed icon in the toolbar of the text editor of the Note. Once I insert it, I can see it show up. But once I save the note, close it, then re-open it, the video disappears and nobody else in the company can see it either.What am I doing wrong (which I know is nothing)? What is the problem?

so I have used the ringcentral python sdk example to make a subscription to the incoming call event. it works great using the sandbox credentials. the app was approved for production. however, when i use the production url and credentials for a valid extension(my desk phone) it does not work.. no error, nothing.. i confirmed the login credentials are correct but it acts as tho no call is coming in when there is a call coming in because my phone is ringing.

Hi all,I'm getting login issues when using Ringcentral phone app and my role type is "Super admin". I cross checked every thing , but I don't know where I done the mistake. And I'm unable to make a calls with chrome extension. It shows that my email is not registered and my account has no permissions to access the service. Below I attached the screenshots of my issues. If anybody knows about my issues, kindly let me know the solution.

Hi,I've got a WebHook that's successfully receiving subscribed incoming-call-pickup events for an extension when I make a call to it (dev sandbox) ... but ... for each single test call, I seem to receive MANY such events. For example, one call I did a while ago received 18 such events, all for the same call.So, what I'd like to know is ...- Is it that I'm somehow not responding to those callbacks properly or something so it keeps sending them? Or is that just normal behaviour?- If it is normal behaviour, is there a better filter I can use so I only get one event per call with all the call data in it?- If I do just need to keep receiving multiple events like that, how do I differentiate them? My system needs to be notified, once, for each individual call ... how can I check if an event I receive is for the same call as an event I received earlier, and therefore know to

Admins should know how long an agent has been on a live call for. Or how long they have been waiting for a call for.

Hi,I've got a WebHook subscription set up for my sandbox account. It's set up to trigger on incoming-call-pickup for my test "101" extension.When I call my allocated phone number, I get the automated receptionist and can dial through to my extension. But then I get hold music for a while followed by the option to leave a voicemail.How do I actually get that call to 101 picked up so I can do my WebHook testing?Thanks for any help

RingCentral Salesforce Plugin 6.0 is flipping tags for outbound and inbound calls. Outbound calls are titled inbound and inbound calls are titled outbound.Our Salesforce users are reporting that the call titles for logged calls via the RingCentral plugin for Salesforce is flipping the titles for inbound and outbound calls. This is causing some confusion for our sales manager because we score on how many outbound calls sales reps make. Is anyone aware of this bug. Running newest 6.0 version of plugin. Appears to have started happening with we upgraded to 6.0.

Hi,My account is in the UK.I am a small one man business and have been using ring central for a few years now. I have 3 different numbers coming into the system all set up the same, coming through to either my yealink on my desk or through to my mobile (cell) using the app.What I am looking to do is set my system up so that during the day, say from 09.00 to 19.00, the phones will ring and if nobody answers then it goes to answer machine, like it does already. After this time, I dont want the phones to ring and go directly to the same answer machine message. Basically out of hours I just want the answer machine to kick in without it waking us up in the house, where I have my office.Im sure this can be done but I just cant find an idiots guide to it without me making a complete mess.If anybody can help it would be really appreciated.ThanksNick
