Question

Blacklisted Webhook

I had some questions about blacklisted webhooks. I tried it on my end, but just wanted to confirm some things.

  1. Is there a way to get notified through email or other means that the webhook is blacklisted? It doesn’t seem like there is a way to know aside from making an API call to get the subscription.
  2. What happens to the events after the blacklisted webhook becomes active again? Will RingCentral retry sending the events?

Thank you.

  1. Unfortunately there is no email notification service for such an incident. If your server is unstable or any reason that may make it often unaccessible, then the best way is to call this API often to check the status of your subscription.
  2. If the subscription status is Blacklisted, you can delete it and recreate a new one.

Thanks for your quick response. Just making sure, the events that weren’t delivered to the webhook will still not be delivered after recreating it? Is that correct or is there a way to retry it?

Yes, we don’t keep those undelivered events after making the subscription as Blacklisted.
