Hello @Meflo, I just wanted to clarify. Are you asking about the RingCentral integration with Google Sheets, like for reporting, call logging, or automation?
Hi Mary, yes that is correct.
Hi Mary, yes that is correct.
Thanks for clarifying, @Meflo!
Here are a few things you can check to try and resolve this:
1. Check Permissions and Authorization
The most common culprit for an integration being able to see an item (the sheet) but not access it (displaying the content) is a permissions issue.
-
Sheet/File Permissions: Double-check the sharing permissions for the existing sheet you are trying to connect to. The RingCentral app or the account you are using for the connection might need explicit edit or owner access, not just view access.
-
Re-authorize the Integration: Sometimes, the stored credentials or token for the connection can expire or become corrupted. Try disconnecting the RingCentral integration from your Google sheet, and then reconnecting it. This forces a fresh authorization.
2. Browser and Cache Issues
A blank screen can often be a client-side problem.
-
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Old data in your browser can interfere with new connections. Try clearing your cache and cookies and then attempting the connection again.
-
Try a Different Browser: If you are using Chrome, try Edge or Firefox, and vice-versa. This can rule out an incompatibility with your specific browser settings.
3. Review the Sheet/File Name
While less likely, unusual characters or a very long file name could potentially confuse the integration's redirect.
Thank you for the information. I will try all these things. Here is a bit more information. I have created a sheet and connected it and it works. but If I disconnect/Logout

and then login again and select “Select existing sheet”

I get a 403 error

We get the same thing when I share the Sheet with someone and they try to connect to it. If I choose “Create new Sheet” I get the timer but then nothing happens.
More Info: that was in Chrome. In Edge I don’t get the 403 error but the pages look like this

and when I click on them nothing happens.
thanks again for your help
Hi @PhongVu, would you happen to have any troubleshooting steps you could share for this?
Things I have tried: Tried different browsers, disconnecting/signing out of Ringcentral and GoogleSheets and then re-signing in both. Cleared browsing data on both browsers.Rebooted computer.
Today (new day)I tried again to connect to existing sheet with same issue but when I created a new sheet with same name it actually connected to the existing sheet and started logging the calls.

Let’s check with @Embbnux1109171020
@Meflo
We are looking at:
- Confirmed issue: selecting existing sheet failed to link it to your account
- Issue I cannot reproduce on my machine: click select sheet and Chrome shows 403 but Edge works
for 1, it’ll be patched next Monday.
for 2, my theory is, you disconnected and re-logged in. Somehow our server didn’t pick up the new user session and the old user session is logged out. It used the old use session to open a Google page but get 403 not authorized error. For this one, are you able to stably reproduce it? If so, please let me know how. Thanks!
I was getting the 403 error consistantly but now I am able to get in but the picker is not working correctly. The sheets are showing like this

If I select one it just spins but never opens. I have found that if I create a new sheet with the same name it will make a new version of the original and continue to log on the new one. The data from the original is carreied over. You can see in this screenshot that I have 2 with the same name
@Meflo
File picker problem is now patched under version 1.6.9. As for it doesn’t show preview images, that’s fine. You can still select and link it.
