I am in the process of developing a system to automatically call a number read off a series of commands (press 1 for this, press 2 for this, etc..) then post to our database the users response. Is this possible with the ringcentral api

We use HipChat internally for our inter-organization communication. We have a lot of things that integrate with it including Zendesk and OpsGenie. I haven't been able to find any information or even interest in integrating with HipChat though. How hard would it be to do this? Basically the only thing I am looking for is incoming calls to certain groups in RingCentral send an alert to that group's chatroom in HipChat with CallerID info and number.We used to have this with our custom phone system but lost it when we moved to our previous provider and many people keep requesting that feature's return.Thanks!

HiIs there anyone who is aware of the way to detect the redundant/inbound leg of a ringout?The use case is that: the client app makes a ringout. Then in the presence event we receive TWO legs of the ringout (one inbound and one outbound). From the app and customers' perspective, we wouldn't want to show the inbound leg as customers just made a outbound call, nor are they expected to know how ringout works. While using the API Explorer to get the json response for retrieving the address book we receive a response indicating insufficient permissions. No matter what permissions we add to our application in the developer portal, we still receive this error. Do we need to request additional permissions for our application to use the address book?

After creating a subscription, I'm able to get SMS/voicemail notifications when I text/ call my account number and leave a voicemail, but I'm not receiving a presence notification when I simply call. I'm subscribed to both message-store and presence events.

The microphone level on the mac desktop is automatically adjusting. This cannot be changed on the app and also in the Mac preferences. Is there a work around in the preferences that I can delete or adjust to make this not happen? It increases my volume to max within a few minutes of calling and picks up all the background noise

I am just getting started setting up a testing environment for working with the RC API. I'd like to know how best to handle the 429 Error when using the ringcentral-csharp SDK. When the HttpResponseMessage is returned with an error code outside of 200-299, the Response constructor throws an exception. The exception does not contain details of the status error nor the headers of the HttpResponseMessage. I do not use salesforce.com. I have written custom aps in Force.com and have custom objects. Can Ringcentral for salesforce be customized to read that file instead of standard salesforce accounts and contacts.Can the results of a phone call from Ringcentral be written to a custom object in salesforce at the end of a call?

I currently have a phone number that when it answers it asks the caller to enter a 6 digit extension. It confirms the extension. Announces the call may be recorded and for quality and training purposes. Dials the 10 digit number based on the 6 digit extension. At the end of the call writes the call data to a file in saleforce.com.Can this be done with Ringcentral? Any tools someone would recommend?
