We are soon rolling out RingCentralEX within our company to about 70 users. I was wanting to see how others were managing the roll out of the RC client across different types of machines. I am planning to use the MSI version and deploy using PDQ Deploy. That said after reading the documentation at https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Using-the-auto-update-MSI-feature-for-the-RingCentral-desktop-app.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US&pills-nav=admin

I am concerned with the auto update version of the app consuming so much local storage space on PC’s with multiple users (Such as a conference room PC). Auto update uses bandwidth too which I don’t think should be a big issues as long as updates stagger out, and not everyone’s computer decides to update at once from the CDN.

I’m kind of wondering if I should split my user base into two groups, one for low number of user systems (Individual systems) and then one for (Shared systems) where I anticipate a lot of people signing into these systems as themselves.

How often is the RC app updated and how important are they in general?

How has everyone else handled this?
