App Connect

Are you encountering the "Clio rate limit reached" error while using App Connect with Clio? We've compiled a few practical tips to help you avoid this issue and ensure a smoother workflow.Understanding the IssueThis error typically arises due to a surge of API requests made to Clio, resulting in Clio blocking these requests to protect its service. This practice is called “rate limiting.” Clio does not provide an option to customize rate limits, making it essential for users to adapt. App Connect is generally efficient with API calls; however, the nature of Clio’s API can sometimes lead to this error. One main factor is that Clio's API is strict about looking up contacts via phone numbers—a feature heavily used by App Connect. Frequently, App Connect may need to make up to five API calls in quick succession to locate a single contact, increasing the likelihood of triggering Clio's rate limit, especially during extensive call logging sessions.Short-Term SolutionPatience is key. Our team’s CRM is Bullhorn and we are having issues with logging SMS messages. We are using version 1.3.1, which I believe is the latest version. When manually clicking the log button, we are not being redirected to the next page. The interface remains on the same page and loads as if it is going to log the messages, but ultimately does not log. We have tried turning on the auto log feature and that has not worked either. We have signed out and signed back into Bullhorn & the extension, have cleared our cache, and have uninstalled the extension and reinstalled. Any recommendations regarding troubleshooting are appreciated.

Hi, we have recently installed the RingCentral Bullhorn integration (Version: v1.0.9). We use Bullhorn Analytics which is where we set targets and actual results are tracked. Now we have this integration we should be able to set call targets and have actual figures pulling through at the end of each day. How do we set this up?

We know how essential it is for your business communications to flow seamlessly, and one of App Connect's primary features is automatically logging calls. However, when this feature doesn't work as expected, it can be frustrating. This guide aims to help you identify and troubleshoot any issues inhibiting App Connect from logging calls automatically.Understanding Manual Call LoggingThe first step in diagnosing the issue is to see if App Connect can log calls manually. Here's how you can check:Make a test call using App Connect. Try logging the call manually by using the "Log call" or "+" button in the call history section of App Connect. If the call logs successfully without any errors, this rules out most technical problems related to logging. However, if you encounter any errors while attempting manual logging, it may point you in the right direction toward resolving the issue. If you're unsure about the error or need further assistance, please bring it to the community, and we'll be m

Would like to understand if the extension uses the native (default) phone fields in NetSuite or does it also lookup custom phone fields?

We are testing this integration in NetSuite and are able to create phone calls but are failing with contact creation.  The placeholder company was not created, I added it manually. Still failed.  Permissions from rings documentation have been confirmed and are correct.  We tried using the standard netsuite contact form and still get a failure.  The error does not point to anything.  Anyone had success?

I wanted to provide a quick update to the community to let them know that we have had version 1.2 submitted to the Chrome App Store for now one full calendar week. We are waiting for them to review and publish the update. In the past this was done quite quickly (less than a day typically), so we are not sure why it is taking so long. We are inquiring and will post an update when we have one.  Nov 19, 2024 update: we found that our submission to the Chrome App Store was rejected. We are addressing the issue and resubmitting to App Store as soon as possible. Nov 20, 2024 update: version 1.2 has been released. We reached out to Google to inquire about the release process, and they informed us that their policies are changing and becoming more strict, requiring more review and holding all Chrome extensions to a higher standard. We applaud efforts to make all software more secure, and are working to better comply with Google policies and best practices.

Does App Connect sync with both contact and candidate records in Bullhorn? I only see a contacts setting in the extension tool.

I am having issues with the ring chrome extension. When I am using the text feature I have it on automatic log to log all of text messages. For some reason when people are responding to me via text the messages only show up in the actual ring app, not the extension. And when it is logging my text messages it only logs the ones I send not the ones I receive.

We have heard reports from users encountering an issue with App Connect where it ceases to function unexpectedly. The primary symptom identified is that the extension fails to open when you click the orange badge located in the lower right-hand corner. What We Know So FarOur investigation has traced this problem to the “service worker” being randomly deleted by Chrome. To verify if you are affected by this issue, navigate to the Details page for the extension and look under "Inspect views." If the text "service worker" is missing, you have been impacted.Temporary SolutionThe only known remedy at present is to uninstall and reinstall the extension. We know that this is inconvenient, and we are actively looking into the root cause, including adding more detailed logging. Currently, we believe that this could be a bug within Chrome, but we are working diligently to confirm and address this.Thank you for your patience as we work through this issue. We will provide updates as soon as we hav

When a phone number in NetSuite exists at the customer account level and also as the phone number for 1 or more contacts the integration lists the call as unknown and when trying to log it just spins and stops.  Will sometimes receive a timeout message.  Just wondering how many phone fields this is searching within NetSuite.
