My LLM is reporting that the MCP is returning errors. What do I do?

First, a quick bit of context: RingCentral's MCP servers are currently in preview / early access / beta. We're actively exploring this space alongside other companies across the AI industry, working to figure out the best ways to make integrations like this genuinely useful. Being on the leading edge of something this new means that, occasionally, you're going to run into errors. That's a normal part of where this technology is right now — not a sign that something has gone permanently wrong.

What to do when it happens

The most important thing you can do is report it to us. Our team is able to respond to issues quickly, but only if we know about them — so please don't just work around an error and move on.

Here's the fastest way to do that:

  1. Ask your LLM to prepare a bug report. Claude or ChatGPT can pull together the technical details of what happened — the request that was made, the error returned, timestamps, and anything else relevant — in a format that's easy for our support team to act on.
  2. Send that report to us at support.ringcentral.com. Include as much of what your LLM gave you as you can.

That's it. This is the single most reliable way to get your issue looked at and fixed.

Why this matters beyond just you

Every report we get doesn't just help resolve your issue — it helps us catch patterns, fix root causes, and make the experience better for everyone else using these servers too. This community and our support team rely on people flagging what they run into, so thank you in advance for taking the extra minute to do it.
