Fax via Email (No Install Required)

If she already has an active RingCentral user account, she doesn’t even need to install any software to send a fax. She can do it right from her email client (like Outlook or Gmail):

• How to do it: She opens a new email, attaches the document she wants to fax, and addresses the email to: [FaxNumber]@rcfax.com (for example: 1234567890@rcfax.com).

• The Result: RingCentral automatically converts that email and attachment into a fax and sends it.

The RingCentral Desktop App

If she needs to view incoming faxes, manage logs, or prefers a visual interface, you will want to install the official app on her computer:

• Step 1: Have her log into the RingCentral user portal web page on her computer.

• Step 2: Go to the download section and download the RingCentral App for Desktop (available for Windows and Mac).

• Step 3: Once installed, she logs in with her credentials. She can click the New Action (+) button at the top of the app and select New Fax to send documents easily.

ℹ️ One Important Admin Check

Before she tries to send anything, ensure her specific RingCentral user extension has Fax Permissions enabled in your admin portal. If she shares your main company number, you will also want to make sure she has permission to send out using that specific caller ID.
