Incident Summary:A portion of RingCentral customers may be experiencing failed inbound calls and faxes to Canada over multiple carriers.Start Time:Oct 29, 10:33 PDTUpdate:RingCentral continues to monitor the fiber cut and remains in contact with the underlying carrier. The current estimated time to resolution for this issue is this afternoon. Further updates will be provided in the afternoon, or when there is a significant change in status.Additional Resources for Information:Please note that the incident above may or may not be affecting your account. Welcome to a new customer and developer community support ecosystem!

For the last several months the RingCentral support team has been working on a new community support experience for our customers. We never expected however that the service we were using at the time would announce that they would be shutting down. Upon learning this we had to greatly accelerate the timeline of our project to ensure that customers were minimally impacted by this turn of events. Our vision is to bring customer and developer support together to offer a combined community support experience, and to enhance the customer community experience specifically with a number of new features and capabilities that our developer community has been using for over a year. It is with great pride and relief that on July 31, 2020 we successfully completed the first phase of this migration of our customer support content into our new community hub. Given the timeframe we were operating other, however, we made a number of short term decisions and compromises that we will be addressing in

Latest upgrades are actually downgrades

I have a 1 person company plan. Recently the latest updates to both RingCentral for Windows and the RingCentral App for Android have been more of downgrades than upgrades. For example...RINGCENTRAL APP:- I have to keep the app open and running in the background to be able to receive calls and texts. In RC Phone app, it would always receive calls and texts. That is a MUST when running a business.RESULT: I had to go back to RC Phone app which apparently is no longer supported. Great work RingCentral team :(RINGCENTRAL FOR WINDOWS:- Unable to search for texts older than a month unless I load previous messages multiple times until that text finally appears. This is insane as I would need to know exactly when that text chain occurred. I also find it ridiculous that the phone app can easily find text conversations when searching for numbers regardless of how old the text is.- The newest version ONLY allows group texts to see each other's names/contact info and responses, unlike the andro
