🧠 AI at RingCentral: Automate, Assist, & Analyze
1. AIR & AIRPro (Automate)
- AIR (AI Receptionist): Handles 24/7 frontline calls, FAQs, and transfers.
- New - Custom Usage Alerts: Admins can set custom threshold alerts (defaulting at 80%) to receive email notifications before AIR minutes run out.
- New - Live Test Calls: Test greetings, business hours, and transfer rules via a built-in wizard before going live.
- AIRPro (AI Representative - Early Access): Takes automation further with multi-step reasoning, mid-conversation multilingual support, and pre-built workflows starting with healthcare integrations (e.g., Epic).
2. Ava (Assist - Early Access)
- AI Virtual Assistant: Ava works right inside your RingCentral App across voice, video, and messaging.
- Good News: Core Ava capabilities will be available to all RingEX users at no additional cost once generally available! You can join the Early Access waitlist today.
3. ACE (Analyze)
- Compliance Signals: ACE listens for sensitive data and automatically flags interactions touching HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR data. Surfaces the highest-risk conversations first so critical issues stand out.
📹 What’s New in AI Meetings
Ben from our Product Team walked us through major upgrades to video meetings:
- AI Notes for Video (GA): Automatically captures meeting summaries, action items, and real-time audio transcripts—with support for note translation across multiple languages.
- Admin Controls for AI Features: Admins can now selectively toggle AI features (transcripts, closed captions, notes) on or off per user.
- Post-Meeting Chat History: In-meeting chat threads are now saved alongside meeting notes and transcripts in the RingCentral App so key details are never lost.
- Expanded Capacity: RingEX video meetings now support up to 300 participants (up from 200) at no extra cost! Perfect for all-hands and large training sessions.
📱 Mobile, Messaging, & Admin Enhancements
- Enhanced Mobile HUD (Heads-Up Display): Enjoy a cleaner UI with active call durations, status displays, and a convenient bottom-drawer menu on mobile.
- Delegated Lines on iOS: iPhone users can now view and manage delegated lines (Bridge Call Appearance) directly in the HUD tab to answer or make calls on behalf of a group.
- Mobile Call Monitoring: Supervisors can now monitor, whisper, barge, takeover, or monitor group conference calls directly from the Mobile HUD.
- Apple CarPlay Upgrades: Rebuilt framework featuring a dedicated Text Tab (with Siri read-aloud and voice reply), a Favorites Tab (top 25 sync contacts), and team messaging support.
- Shared SMS Inbox "Awaiting Reply" Filter: One-click filtering surfaces every customer message thread that hasn’t received a reply yet ensuring no customer falls through the cracks.
- Desktop Call Queue Dashboard: Monitor real-time queue and agent metrics directly inside the desktop app via the new Reports Tab—no separate browser window needed.
- Streamlined Navigation: Phone system settings are moving under Phone System > Company for a cleaner admin setup, while Business Analytics gets a modern, simplified navigation architecture.
