Call Pickup not working

I have configured users to be able to pick up calls from other extensions using the Call Pickup list under Groups. The instructions say that you can pickup a call ringing at another extension by pressing *58 and then the ringing extension. This would be great if it actually worked. We have tried this with various extensions and cannot seem to get it to work properly. Does anyone have a success story that they can share to get this to work?
