Deskphone Rings, does not allow me to answer the call

To help narrow this down, could you let me know a couple of quick details?

1. Is this happening on every single incoming call, or does it only happen randomly?

2. When you pick up the handset, do you hear a clear dial tone, or is it silent while the phone keeps ringing?

In the meantime, two very common culprits for this behavior are Call Screening (where the system waits for you to press 1 before connecting) and Call Handling ring order.

If you want to check those settings while we narrow this down:

1. Turn Off Call Screening

If Call Screening is enabled, lifting the handset won't answer the call until you press 1. If the phone doesn't register that keypress, it keeps ringing and moves to your mobile app.

1. Log into your RingCentral Online Portal.

2. Go to Settings > Screening, Greeting & Hold Music.

3. Set User Call Screening to Off and click Save.

2. Set Desk Phone to Ring First

If all your devices are ringing at the exact same time, your app or computer might be "stealing" the call connection from your desk phone.

1. Go to Settings > Call Handling & Forwarding.

2. Change your ring order to Sequentially (instead of Simultaneously).

3. Move your Desk Phone to the very top of the list so it rings first before sending the call to your desktop or mobile app.

I’m just now seeing this.  Still not able to answer calls on my desk phone when in office.  Today, neither the app on my cell or on laptop is ringing; have missed 3 calls.  Honestly this app is horrible.  All I want to do is use my desk phone when in office; the app from my cell and/or laptop when not in office.  I’ve done all this.  Previously walked through steps with help person on a chat.  Every other phone app I’ve used, it is a click or swipe to activate desk phone or app via cell/laptop.  Nothing is working.  I miss calls then just call them back immediately.  Thanks for trying to help.
