extension-to-extension calling between two instances

We currently have two RingCentral instances — one in the U.S. and another in India — each with a different unique ID (UID). Is it possible to enable extension-to-extension calling between these two instances?

    Hi @Vipin Joshi,

Because your U.S. and India accounts have different unique IDs (UIDs), they are currently seen by RingCentral as two separate, distinct accounts.

Therefore, direct extension-to-extension dialing is not natively supported between them. A call from the U.S. instance to the India instance will be treated as an outbound external call, and yes, if the India account uses local Indian numbers, it will be classified as an international call by the U.S. instance, incurring standard international rates.

The only way to enable free, seamless extension-to-extension dialing is to consolidate both instances under a single master account UID.

    Hi @Mary-Community_Moderator

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Just to add-on we have implemented the Federated Portal by ring central post which we are able to do extension to extension calling.

But as we cannot enable teams dialing in indian RC instance, so we tried to forward the inbound call of our Indian instance to US instance for team's enablement which is working correctly.

the only challenge we are left with when user is dialing an outbound call from Microsoft teams its taking US instance trunk and showing US assigned DID.

Need suggestion if anyone has implemented Federated in their environment.
