Outbound call Issue

Hi Team,

I’m unable to make outbound call to the numbers who don’t have ring central account.

Call icon is showing blur. Can anyone suggest what can be done.?

It sounds like your extension is currently restricted to "Internal Only" calling or hasn't been fully activated for outbound dialing. When the call icon is blurred (greyed out), it usually means the system doesn't recognize a valid "Digital Line" or outbound permission for your user profile. Your admin can help you check this. 

 

1. Check for an Assigned "Digital Line"

You can receive calls without a digital line, but you cannot make outbound calls to external numbers without one.

  • Admin Fix: Go to Users > User List > Users with Extensions.

  • Select the user and look for Phones & Devices.

  • If there is no "Digital Line" or "Phone Number" listed, you will need to add one to the user's profile.

2. Verify Calling Permissions

Your user role might be restricted to "Internal Calling" only.

  • Admin Fix: Go to Users > User Roles.

  • Check the permissions assigned to your role (e.g., "Standard User" vs. "International"). Ensure "Outbound Calling" is enabled.
