Question

Reset Voicemail PIN - option not available?

This question seems to have been repeatedly answered years ago, but the interface in Ring Central Admin does not match the solution nowadays.

Where do I (admin) reset a users voicemail PIN?

This option used to exist previously, but now when I search for it, the option no longer exists (for any user).

I am looking in ‘Users with Extension’ then Phone then Voicemail Settings.  But there is no option to reset PIN.

Users with extensions > User details > Security > Change Password and PIN.

You’ll first have to enter your own password, before being able to change the credentials of another extension.

Does this ‘Security’ option appear for all users, or only users after they have registered and created an account themselves?

I can see this ‘Security’ option for some users, but not all.

yes, Security option is not visible for users who have Grey status (Not activated). This means they have never set themselves credentials via the Welcome email.

I had a similar as James. If the account is not activated then “Security”, in security details, and “voice mail pin”, under voice mail settings will not show up.

To solve you either can send the activation email to the user if the extensions are already assigned to the user or if you are creating their account you can activate their accounts later to enable.
