RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

I have several complaints our Cordless Panasonic dect TGP 500 /600 phones drop calls randomly. While I realize this brand is not "supported" by Ring Central has anyone else had this issue?The phone tend need reprovision occasionally. To get the phone on the Ring Central network Firmware updates are disabled. I suppose I could temporarily enable firmware updates to see if firmware could be the issue. Please share any cordless help.Thanks in advance!

The way it is now, I can only set the caller id on outgoing faxes to our Main Number, our Toll-free Number or my Direct Number. To me, this makes absolutely no sense. When someone receives a Fax from my company, I want my fax number on it not my main and certainly not my toll-free number. What am I missing?

The "call me" feature why is not enabled for all users!!! this will make it amazing.. This option should be in the PHONE CALL" and "COMPUTER AUDIO"

Hi! I have the Ring Central small business phone system and am just getting set up. When I signed up I was told the the phone app on the phone was secured by a passcode and that you wouldn't be able to access the app without inputting some sort of security code. This is important for HIPAA compliant businesses, but I'm not seeing any options for this. My app just lets me open it with no security code and online customer support was not able to answer this question. Anyone know?

We are using the Plycom desk phone and I am being told I cannot change the caller ID on outgoing calls. When I call clients or potential clients the caller ID is not my business name. It is the name of a man who used to have this number via Verizon. This is unacceptable and I need to have this issue resolved ASAP.

Is there a way for us to add roles in every users not to access the contacts?

Our company only uses the RingCentral App/Glip because we prefer to only use one app to do everything (make/receive calls, send messages etc). However, we also like to use the RingCentral for Google extension so we can "click-to-call" from our browser since our CRM/ATS system is browser-based.The issue we're running into is that RingCentral for Google only allows us to make calls using RingCentral Phone for desktop NOT RingCentral App/Glip. There is no setting option for Make Calls in Google using RingCentral App. Unless I'm missing it?This seems silly since you've got this almost all inclusive app (RingCentral App/Glip) but then the google integration makes you call using the RingCentral Phone. So you end up having to use both apps anyway (unless you call in browser).Would it be possible to add "Make Calls using RingCentral App" to the Google integration settings?

When I click on Ring Central (Glip) icon in start menu nothing happens. I tried o reinstall application but when I run installer only splash screen is displayed for a few seconds and then nothing...

Hello,I am trying to do something a bit unconventional and I cannot locate any documents on how to achieve this.We have a group queue for our IT Service Desk that contains 3 members during the day. If a user leaves a voicemail, it goes into our Service Desk ticketing queue.After hours, we have an on call rotation that is not always one of those 3 people. We switch out 1 person every week, and we don't want that person to receive calls from the Service Desk queue during the day.Is there a way to achieve adding one person to the call queue but only after hours?We do not want conditional forwarding or connect to extension because we still need voicemails to go into our Service Desk ticketing queue and not directly to the on call person's voicemail.Right now I am adding this person to the queue every day at 5pm and then removing them at 7am. Hoping there is a better way that I'm not aware of.Thanks!

Yesterday after I left the office, a call was rerouted to my cellphone through RC. The caller id said "Afghanistan. I thought it was odd and didn't answer.I just downloaded a new version of the RC Phone App and to test it, I called my cell. Again, it shows up as coming from Afghanistan.PS, I'm not in Afghanistan!

When I signed up I was told that I would be able to see both the caller ID and the number (I have 3) that was called. This doesn't seem to be possible after all on my mobile app. When will this become available? I signed up because I was told it was.

Hi,I am in the UK and have multiple telephone numbers coming into one phone. I am just a small business.I have just bought a fellow competitors telephone number and would like to know if it is possible to record and use a separate custom message when I cant answer the phone.Basically what i am asking is whether my own business (business 1) can have one voicemail message, announcing business 1s name and the new business (business 2) can have a separate voicemail message announcing the name of business 2. All calls come to me using ring central on one account.Many thanks

When logged into the Admin Portal, when I click at the top beside my name, there is a drop-down menu with two choices "Take all calls" and "Do not accept any calls". A quick search of this forum did not return any meaningful results. Will this option route all incoming calls (regardless of number) to me or reject all incoming calls? Could someone please explain these two options? Thanks in advance.

I created a private park location, added users and enabled "Presence" on the devices. The park location shows up as a button on my desk phone and I can park a call from both my desk phone and my softphone. The problem is that I cannot pick up a parked call within the softphone app.According to the instructions, there should be an icon that says "Pickup" on the HUD" tab:But after I park a call, this option is not visible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How do I set up fax to email.  I would like to have a fax number as part of our unlimited plan than when people fax that number it comes into my email.  I can't find how to do that.

We have a number of our users that take card payments over the phone. We need a way to be able to stop recording on the call whilst they take the payment details. I have been told by support this is available on a physical phone but not on the soft phone. Will this be made available anytime soon ?

I prefer the older version of ring central. I don't really like the update on the home page. I really like using firefox and on it you can't see the full phone numbers in the recent calls section unless you press 'detailed.' Can this please be fixed in Firefox browser?!?

When we send a fax from someone's extension, the fax shows that it comes from a particular persons name. How do you change the name of that person to read the company name?

is there any way i can select all contacts in one time to send text messages from ring central app

Need to forward the fax number from ringcentral to outside of ringcentral system. Is there a way to do it other than to port the number out? 

We have a call queue that agents sign into to take calls. We have a wrap-up time set, to give them time between calls, but sometimes we have a need to override the wrap-up time to get another call. Is there a way to do this?
