RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Yesterday I updated my iPhone to iOS 10 and now I am unable to make calls over my carrier (T-Mobile's) network. The error that shows on my ring central app states that VoIP calling is unavailable. This feature worked fine before the update to iOS 10. I am not interested in using my Wifi network as the call quality degrades significantly. At this point, it seems the only option is to use the ring out feature which is very buggy at best. Is anyone having this issue? Any advice to help sort this out would be greatly appreciated. My gut tells me this is an iOS issue that will need to be resolved with a ring central app update.

Am I the only one who wants all my staff to be able to reply to texts from the main line (and check VMs to the main line via their own phone app)? How do y'all get by without this feature?

When I have Voip calling enablde and it is hooked to wifi I often lose the connection and the app starts making weird noises. This is five feet from my router with an excellent signal. Sometimes the app rings when I am out and about and sometimes it doesn't. It is looking like I am going to need to carry a second phone so I can put the same voicemail I have on Ring Central on the cell phone because I am missing calls. Texts come through fine. I really don't want two cell phones, but I also sell real estate and that is the voicemail on my personal cell phone which would confuse my boarding kennel clients. Ring Central does nto always go to voicemail before the cell phopne does and I have had this happen in the past. Also, Ring Central will put voicemails long ago deleted back on the app if you sign out and sign back in. Is there a way to stop that? I'd like to provide a link on my company intranet to open Meetings and Glip. Any thoughts on how to do that? I'm able to open the softphone easily with something like <a href="tel:">Phone</a>. But I can't find a similar protocol that would open glip or meetings.If would be great if there was a protocol that would let you do something like <a href="rcmeetings:111-222-3333"> to join a meeting, or just "rcmeetings:" to open the meetings app without joining anything. Similarly for Glip.Any ideas?

Is it possible to control what domains you are able to instant message / collaborate with? In our organization, some users we would want with the ability to message with people "outside" of our company(other RC users), and some users should only be able to communicate with people "inside" our company. Is this in the roadmap?

I've been on Ringcentral for six months and like the system, but am receiving robo calls both at the office, and at home that are of a nature, so persistent and repetitive that are unfortunately, going to force me to drop the system if there is no way to fix this:I receive REPEAT robocalls about every 5 minutes, starting around 7pm and running all night. One is from "SIP VICIOUS" and the other is from "888070xxxyyyzzz" (and similar numbers - this has been going on for months). Sometimes during that daytime when i'm at the office.The whole purpose of this system is to provide a higher quality phone system for our customers and potential customers to call in on. But this unrestricted, constant repetitive robo calla ctivity basically, renders our RingCentral phone system deployment worthless to us.I've called into to tech support several times on this. I have blocked calls without calling party ID. But these calls don't even show up in my call log.If Ri

Can you add an options to turn off fax capability for the main line.

I work for a medical practice and we create a lot of .pdf files that we use to fax between various facilities , but the 20mb file limitation makes it cumbersome. Will this always be the size limitation with RingCentral?

How to change Caller ID for SMS on IOS for the Glip app

I was speaking with a product manager from RingCentral about a month ago and they mentioned a "Super App" for desktop that would include meetings integration and make the phone portion of the application much smoother like RC Phone. Spoke with the account manager yesterday and she said that was not happening/ it was only for mobile. Has anyone else heard about this "Super App" being for desktop or was I mistaken?

I am unable to send an e-fax, with attachment and include a cover page. I consulted in "messenger" with an IT specialist. Through trouble shooting we found that I could not send my attachment AND a cover page at the same time. IT suggested I post this to the "community" board.

We have call forwarding set up for four business numbers -- but your services currently won't allow the calls to be sent to our MOBILE APPLICATION. Before we set up the forwarding chain, we could answer on our mobile apps. We really need you to help us with this, Jean, the person we've worked with at RingCentral says that presently you are unable to make this happen.  Please help us by developing whatever needs to be developed so the forwarding calls can go to our mobile app. Currently, whenever I answer a call and the call needs to go to one of our estimators, I have to physically GIVE the phone to him and put it on speaker phone and give up my phone for about ten minutes. Really, this is a terrible solution. PLEASE HELP!

I am starting an executive suite (like Regus). I am providing phone service as part of the service for the tenants. With over 30+ tenants, my live receptionist needs to see the number being called (Callee ID) so she can answer the call appropriately using the right business name. 8x8 has a product called "Switchboard", but the only product RC has that is close is "Multi-site support".... is there a solution I am not seeing?

my first problem is when a call goes to voicemail it doesn't go to the ring central voicemail it goes to an individuals voicemail. my second problem is that the calls shouldn't come up as answered if no one answered them. and my last problem is when the call is forwarded it should go to the next person in the que not to voicemail.the account type is through the ring central app in the USA. 2 users affected.

Especially for larger companies, why can't an Admin for RingCentral upload a standardized Fax Cover Sheet template for all Users? Having to manually upload for every user is time consuming and tedious.

I have a Polycom V V X 311. Occasionally, the phone will start ringing, however, there is no incoming call. The display shows a three or four digit number. The phone will continue to ring until power is disconnected. A reboot solves the problem, but just temporarily. Any ideas?

The display on my computer is 180 left to right backward. Ringcentral says this is normal. I need to find a way to turn the view so that when I am looking at my monitor while I present a product is in not backward. Anyone have an idea on how to accomplish that. Thanks, Will

We are seeing an issue where if someone in a group does a Warm Transfer to an external number, completes the call and hands it off, they're still showing as On-Call in the group queue until the original caller and the person our agent transferred to hang up. I don't see a way to get this to stop and it only happens with external Warm Transfers. Internal to Ring Central transfers are not affected by this issue and the agent goes Unavailable for the preset time, then back to Available.I would like to know if there is a way to stop this from happening when transferring a call to an external number.

Related to ticket: 07948600The NetGear R7000 should be a preferred router, based on the R6400 recommendation from RingCentral as a recommended router.I am posting these details in case someone has investigated this problem and solved it better than I did. Glip update wiped all previous chat and calendar basically clean slate.....HELP!!!!!

glip was working well for me this morning 3/12 until about 10am est. when it told me to click update when prompted. I had to close my browser when i did I signed back in but no calendar or ability to do much of anything within the app. Why would the service be getting an update in the middle of the morning during a work week? It's hard to use an all in one app for my calls and schedule if I cant see my schedule or add to it.
