Our company is based in California but we have 100+ of us working all over the United States and Poland). Since we all work remotely we use RingCentral during the day to see who is available for calls, online meetings, etc. Unfortunately, even though we are sitting at our desks working, Glip will timeout and go grey as if we are offline if we do not frequently click the app to 'wake it up.' Is there a way to set it to stay online unless our computers log out or shut down? It is frustrating to have to constantly click on and 'reactivate' the desktop app just to make it clear that we are available. It makes it look as if we are not working when we are if we get busy and forget to keep clicking it. If our mouse and keyboard are active the app should stay active also.

I have a call queue that all in the office are part of. I need to be able to have a direct number ring on only that phone. How do I do that?

Our company launched a new product and needed an 800 number to send/receive calls. The problem is I cannot set a Caller ID Name that shows up on a customer's phone when they are called by us.Is this possible through IVR settings or possibly another way? If this is not currently a feature in RingCentral, how can we get this implemented in the future?

We have a call queue with our entire team inside. All calls ring through the queue. But for some reason 1 of the callers were stuck on hold for 11minutes even though my team was avaliable to answer the call. Why would this happen?

We have a small office and we got this because I do alot of texting with our customers and outside workers. The ring Central app is horrible if you are like me and are not text/messaging Teams or the two other people with Ring Central phones. I have to go through a bunch of steps just to get to the texts and calls. And now I am group messaging my works and I can only do this through the app on my phone and not the one on my computer. The other app was sooo much better the one with the phone Icon.. I don't know who the hell came up with this one. Maybe I am doing something wrong and if I am let me know

Is it possible for an agent to answer another call when he's on a call?

I own 2 companies that use Ring Central. I currently have 2 versions of the Ring Central apps on my Iphone. I was just notified that as of June 12th, we are not going to be able to use the 2nd app and therefore I will have to switch from Ring Central to a competitor because of this. I want to have the ability to answer calls for my different companies all from one cell phone and not have to use 2 cell phones. It's very surprising that this is not a feature. I've worked with Ring Central tech support and they tell me it can't currently be done. Is that accurate?

Wondering if there is an option somewhere, or if not plans to implement the ability to see the number a text message was sent to in email notifications for text messages. We have quite a few Company numbers that all go to a SMS dump via the Auto Receptionist general settings since we don't want our sites to receive texts. Those email notifications only ever show the user, not the number the message was sent to. This would be helpful for diagnosing where miscommunications are happening in the field.A log of SMS activity company-wide would be majorly beneficial as well.US Company, RingCentral Office Standard.

Yesterday, may 16th, most of my text messages disappeared, i wanna know how you guys control the amount of text messages and how can i prevent such situations in future. Also i see messages only in RC Phone and your "new" app with letter R don't even show any text messages, only call log. Another bug?

I am a system admin. we are using Phone System - Groups - Other to manage a general voicemail box. For the past two weeks, I have been unable to delete voicemail messages. I get an error message that the request cannot be completed at this time. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix the issue?

We have a receptionist extension that multiple employees use to monitor text messages sent to our main number. I typically keep that open in the RingCentral app.We also have each employee log into the RingCentral Phone app for their direct extension on their cell phones.This was suggested to us as a way to handle this situation by our account manager when we first set up our RC account.My understanding is that the mobile phone app is being sundowned. They work off commission. Whoever answers first gets the order and commission. Our company has a lot of people who are now splitting their time working in the office and remotely. In my mind, one of the basic reasons for a system like RingCentral is that users can receive their calls on any device, no matter where they are. Last week, I found out that call forwarding does not work as expected.Consider the following scenario. Jane works in the office sometimes and other times she works from home. Susan is going to be out of the office and Jane is her backup. Jane happens to be working from home that day and Susan configures her account to forward her calls to Jane.The expected behavior would be that Jane would be able to receive those calls regardless of which device she is using (desk phone or Mobile app). However, it does not work. The forwarded calls ONLY ring to Jane's desk. There is no way to forward another user's calls to another user's mobile app.I spent some time on the phone with

I click on my softphone Icon and it just loads in the taskbar but the soft phone does not appear. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. Need this to work. I'm on windows 10.

I have an office which has voice latency problems only right after they have put a caller on hold. The local tech tried this from a few different phones in the office and also tried from home to see if the problem was specific to the office. The problem is replicated at home as well. Is this a known bug? Is there any work around? The site in question only uses about 8Mbps and has 50Mbps of bandwidth and AutoQOS is configured on the Cisco switch. There is NO contention for bandwidth as the users are only using VMWare Horizon virtual desktop. So I am certain this is not an issue of bandwidth startvation.

What is the best way to block any international number from calling into a business?

Created a silent installation for the RingCentral Desktop app V20.2.20.147320.2, but the program launches as soon as it has installed. I looked at the msi with orca, but do not see any type of launch property that I can disable. Has anyone come up with a way to stop this?

Using Glip v 19.05.2 (E. 2.0.14) Build 958. When I receive a message, the red indicator will appear on the taskbar icon. Once read it should go away. It usually did, but now, it will not go away no matter what I do. I have rebooted, checked my groups/users for any pending messages and nothing. It still keeps coming back. Now I can't tell if I have a valid new message or if it is the phantom message. Please help!

I am trying to sync past appointments on our Glip calendar with Outlook. I copied the calendar URL and added the calendar to Outlook, but it only shows past appointments from the last 30 days. Is this a glitch, or is there a way to pull in all past appointments?Thanks so much!
