RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

We have call forwarding set up for four business numbers -- but your services currently won't allow the calls to be sent to our MOBILE APPLICATION. Before we set up the forwarding chain, we could answer on our mobile apps. We really need you to help us with this, Jean, the person we've worked with at RingCentral says that presently you are unable to make this happen.  Please help us by developing whatever needs to be developed so the forwarding calls can go to our mobile app. Currently, whenever I answer a call and the call needs to go to one of our estimators, I have to physically GIVE the phone to him and put it on speaker phone and give up my phone for about ten minutes. Really, this is a terrible solution. PLEASE HELP!

I am starting an executive suite (like Regus). I am providing phone service as part of the service for the tenants. With over 30+ tenants, my live receptionist needs to see the number being called (Callee ID) so she can answer the call appropriately using the right business name. 8x8 has a product called "Switchboard", but the only product RC has that is close is "Multi-site support".... is there a solution I am not seeing?

my first problem is when a call goes to voicemail it doesn't go to the ring central voicemail it goes to an individuals voicemail. my second problem is that the calls shouldn't come up as answered if no one answered them. and my last problem is when the call is forwarded it should go to the next person in the que not to voicemail.the account type is through the ring central app in the USA. 2 users affected.

Especially for larger companies, why can't an Admin for RingCentral upload a standardized Fax Cover Sheet template for all Users? Having to manually upload for every user is time consuming and tedious.

I have a Polycom V V X 311. Occasionally, the phone will start ringing, however, there is no incoming call. The display shows a three or four digit number. The phone will continue to ring until power is disconnected. A reboot solves the problem, but just temporarily. Any ideas?

The display on my computer is 180 left to right backward. Ringcentral says this is normal. I need to find a way to turn the view so that when I am looking at my monitor while I present a product is in not backward. Anyone have an idea on how to accomplish that. Thanks, Will

We are seeing an issue where if someone in a group does a Warm Transfer to an external number, completes the call and hands it off, they're still showing as On-Call in the group queue until the original caller and the person our agent transferred to hang up. I don't see a way to get this to stop and it only happens with external Warm Transfers. Internal to Ring Central transfers are not affected by this issue and the agent goes Unavailable for the preset time, then back to Available.I would like to know if there is a way to stop this from happening when transferring a call to an external number.

Related to ticket: 07948600The NetGear R7000 should be a preferred router, based on the R6400 recommendation from RingCentral as a recommended router.I am posting these details in case someone has investigated this problem and solved it better than I did. Glip update wiped all previous chat and calendar basically clean slate.....HELP!!!!!

glip was working well for me this morning 3/12 until about 10am est. when it told me to click update when prompted. I had to close my browser when i did I signed back in but no calendar or ability to do much of anything within the app. Why would the service be getting an update in the middle of the morning during a work week? It's hard to use an all in one app for my calls and schedule if I cant see my schedule or add to it.

Using the RC Phone ApplicationWhen I receive an external call through our business line, If I try to transfer this to another extension in the Network it will not work. The call just goes back to myself as the first point of contact.If somebody within our RC System calls my extension and I go to transfer the call to another extension, this works. Anybody know the reason behind my issue with external call transferring?

when you are driving on the roads, you get a text msg in Ringcentral phone app. You want to notify your client that you are driving and will get back to them when you stop the car or pull over to the side. Can we add that function in the Ringcentral phone app?

Our customer service team has been using the Phone app pretty regularly to text our customers. They've been adding them in the contact directory to keep track. Going forward, they will also be using Glip for the team features. However, what they've noticed is that the customers they've texted before show up under the People section in Glip, but only their phone numbers, not their names. Why doesn't Glip pull the corresponding names from the Phone app? Or am I missing something?

When I am on the website, I click the small arrow but no sounds from the recording playback - I have to dwnload the mp3 file and play it to hear the msg. This was working before but not now - using Firefox 65.0.2 - any clues to fix this?

When answering a call via a soft phone, I want to transfer a call to another team member and click the warm transfer button. If the number I am calling is a mobile and it goes to their voicemail, I can get back to the original call but is there any way I can end the call to the team member. It seems to just leave it in limbo until I have completed the call. There is no end call button for the team member. Am I missing something?

ATA Re connection Issue Every time I lose internet service for a second, surge or whatever, The ATA router never reconnects. Calling tech support does nothing as they follow the script of turn it off and on. Obviously an issue as it happens every time I have a momentary drop in internet service.

We are in the process of migrating to RingCentral for several sites. At one site I am trying to set up a line that will only be used to dial in to a paging system by users located physically at the same site. According to RC support, as soon as we connect hardware to a line (Cisco SPA122 in this case) a DID is required. The problem is that I dont want external calls to be able to reach the paging system. The only way I can see to get the setup I need, is to enable "block all calls" on the paging line, and then populate the approved numbers list with every number at that particular site (not many so not an issue).Is this the best way to set this up? Is there really no way to generate an internal only "virtual extension" that we can point to the SPA122? Or to just block external access to the DID?Follow up question, if this is indeed the correct path, will the approved users be able to dial the paging line using the direct extension? Or only via the full number?Sorry

When i go to resend a failed fax, it reformats the number to international and gives me this response... i have to go in and manually re-enter the number... any ideas what is going on? Thank you

Hello, with the most recent update, I am unable to listen to recordings on Ring Central in one window and do anything else on my computer in another Edge Window. In fact, I can't go to Outlook or Work or Excell and listen to the recording at the same time. This is a big problem. It worked yesterday without a problem, but today is hopeless. Can something be done to restore things to how they were before the update so that these recordings will play without having to be right at the window on your computer?

MMS does not seem to work for Canadian phone numbers. Is there any way around this?
