Ring Central app for Salesforce Merge fields for Templates

I like the new RC for Salesforce app now that we have templates. One missing piece is the ability to add merge fields. This would contribute to efficiency of sms within the Salesforce environment. Can we get merge fields on the roadmap? I see we can do them from Flows.
