New Ring Central users here. When we transfer a call to another extension, the caller is hearing a 2nd recorded greeting. How do I eliminate the 2nd greeting on the transfer? Our callers do not need to hear a full second greeting. the transfer time is too long with it.

No simple way to do this.
There are some “RingCentral gymnastics” that can be done with VideoPro extensions(aka free extensions). Probably not worth it, but you can play around with it and it might be appropriate if your account is less than 10-20 users.

Scenario1 - you currently
caller rings user1
user1 answers and transfers caller to user2
caller hears two greetings.

Scenario2 - if you used a helper VideoPro ext.
caller rings user1
user1 answers and transfers caller to VideoPro ext.
VideoPro ext is without any greeting and offers the call to user2.

Note1:  you need a VideoPro ext for every user.
Note2: since you are duplicating users consider removing one of them from the directory.
Note3: it is much simpler to remove the greeting altogether - I personally am a fan of users not having any greeting and putting greetings only on Call queues and IVR menus.

while I am at it - here is how to create free VideoPro ext.

Users > Unassigned Extensions > Add Unassigned ext. > Domestic country > Add users without devices (and without a number)
