Under the RingCentral desktop app, settings, and HUD, there is the option to turn on “Ring when extensions I am monitoring receive incoming calls.”
Is it possible to turn this on remotely or from the admin portal or to have it on by default so we don’t have to turn them on one by one through the user?

Hi there! Great question — and you’re absolutely right to check into this.
While the setting “Ring when extensions I am monitoring receive incoming calls” sounds like a user-level toggle, admins can actually enable this via the Admin Portal under Presence permissions.
As shown in this article, admins can enable:
Ring my phone when any user I am monitoring rings
Enable me to pick up a monitored line on hold
These settings can be configured per user on the Presence tab, so you don’t need to rely on users turning them on manually in the desktop app.
