Is there a way in the admin portal to view the teams created by users in our organization?

Thank you

Hi! I'm not an expert on RINGEX by a long shot but I believe that the answer is yes and no.

Yes - but only manually via the app (as a super admin). If memory serves me correctly, Super Admins can view and access teams via the RingCentral app (Contacts → Teams).

No - there is no dedicated Admin Portal page that lists all teams or a proper report. Admin Portal is mainly for governance (permissions, retention, access controls) rather than visibility.

If you are a Super Admin, you can:

Go to Contacts → Teams

View:

Public teams

Private teams (with elevated access)

Join teams

Inspect members and activity

This is the only real way to browse them natively, from my limited knowledge.

If the ask is to audit or report on all Team Chats created by users, there’s currently no out-of-the-box way to do this from the Admin Portal. The closest option is reviewing them manually within the RingCentral app as a Super Admin.

Is the goal to simply view a list of teams, or do you need additional details (e.g. owners, members, activity, inactive teams)?

Is this for governance/compliance purposes, or more for adoption/cleanup (e.g. identifying unused or duplicate teams)?

Have a great day!

Hi Lariane,

Thank you for such detailed information!  While viewing Teams under Contacts doesn’t provide me with all the information that I was looking for at least it is a starting point.  Should I “assume” the person that is listed as an Admin is the creator of the Team?

Thanks again!

Susan
