I can not use Facetime with my personal contacts because Ringcentral wont allow it

Hi @MDCOOP, could you confirm if you’re seeing any error message indicating that the RingCentral app is preventing the action? Or is it automatically routing the call through RingCentral instead?

sorry for late reply...just saw a notification from another comment (not sure if I received one for you) ANYwho, I just removed ringcentral from my phone and haven’t looked back. I do not recall the error message or the exact nature of the issue that was preventing facetime to function as intended. I just know that when I would attempt a facetime it would want to start/use ringcentral...

i can confirm, bug - with ringcentral installed and signed in on iphone, opening iphone native contacts/dialer app and clicking the video (facetime) call button on a saved contact opens in ringcentral. there is no setting to stop this, in iphone general settings or in ringcentral settings. ringcentral integrated calling is off and contacts access is disabled. crazy problem no one is talking about i dont know how it only came up for one of my users today. @Mary-Community_Moderator

I am glad to hear wasn’t “user error”...haha ANYwho, hopefully someday the issue will be rectified and the technology that is here to help project us into the future will in fact, project us into the future...until then, i’ve removed ring central...
