In the past I've used MacOS automator workflows that receive text from the RingCentral/Glip desktop app. I just created a new one today and was surprised that when I went to use it the entire "Services" menu was missing from the RingCentral menu. I didn't even know it was possible for a Mac application to not have that submenu. Would it be possible to have that added back? Or is there a way of showing it that I'm not finding? For context, a recent Google drive desktop update has made sharing paths with teammates much harder, I was trying to set up an automator workflow to streamline that.

I see Zoom has announced support for Apple M1 processors today. With RC's underlying tech being "powered by Zoom", should we expect a native Apple Silicon macOS desktop app soon? I'd love to enroll in beta program for this if there is such a thing. Thanks!

I have a phone in a common area and I need to have it automatically dial the receptionist when the handset is picked up. This is a pretty common feature among phone systems, however I have not been able to figure out how to accomplish this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

HiFirst issue:We have the numbers for 3 businesses coming into our RingCentral account. We need these to route initially to users who will only be using the desktop app - when I add the user under the 'call handling' settings and test it, the call goes straight to voicemail. However, if I set the call handling to route the call to a mobile phone number, rather than a RingCentral extension, it routes the call correctly. To work around this, I did manage to get the call to route correctly to RingCentral extensions, by creating a Call Queue - however when the system routes a call via the Call Queue, it does not manage the incoming call announcement correctly, which brings me to my second issue!Second issue:As we have calls for 3 businesses being routed to the same individuals, they need to know which business the caller is trying to reach so they answer the call correctly. I have added the appropriate settings to: Call Handling > Settings > Incoming Call Information (Edit) &gt

I have an employee that says her phone does not ring or show her that a call is coming in for her to answer. Next thing she knows she has a voice mail. We have verified that her settings are correct via the program you can log into and that her DND is not on. What else can it be? Yes her ringer is turned on

I have a mix of Macs in my office from 10.13 to 10.17, when we try to do video conferencing group calls, there is a range of different issues depending on who is calling who:- when click Video call button, no response- click ideal call, then get popup 'start a video call' then click Start button no response.- some users if receive an invite, click Join, no response.Seems that using mobile device android or apple doesnt have issues. Sadly none of my colleagues have patience to work with me to troubleshoot, they just want to get on with other things. and i cant troubleshoot on my own. I suspect related to Safari, thats mostly our default browser, but i have changed mine to Firefox and i couldnt get any different outcomes. Is there anyone having issues on macOS?we are using the macOS Desktop App.

Hi, am going on a business trip to South Africa. Can I still use my RC desktop and mobile app when connected to wifi there? (To dial UK numbers and display a UK number). Thanks

I'm looking for more information regarding the SMS Campaigns app integration for ringcentral. While using the app, the only option when selecting this feature is to go into a web browser and use the tool in the web app gallery after being asked to sign in. I'm not seeing an option to integrate this into the ringcentral app and have it appear in my installed apps section. Having this integrated would be exactly what I'm looking for. Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated!

I am currently a Super Admin, and am taking over the role of a former employee who is also a Super Admin. How can we merge the two accounts, but keep my direct dial with their extension. I am physically moving offices as well. The position I am vacating does NOT need to be a Super Admin.

I am currently base in the US, but am traveling to Lisbon, Portugal. Am I able to use the same ring central numbers for calls/text? Is there an additional charge for this?

Hi Im writing automationi have tried to call out via ring central api and to see that in salesforce background api's are being called ( for instance , create task, etc)I have noticed that the automation works only when salesforce UI is opened, and when no instance of salesforce is opened my automation failedExample 1 :SF UI is opened via python automation i take call out with ring central api after call out, i can see in salesforce that task is being created automatically ( i check the soql db via autoamtion)example 2:SF UI is closed via python automation i take call out with ring central api after call out, no task is being created in salesforce ( again i check the soql db via automation)If i understand corrrectly, since we have intergration between SF and RC , when create call from ring central api, and the SF UI is opened, i can see the call is on in SF and the api that need to run in SF actually run in backgroundSo my question :do i need to create the "call out" from

I am spending 4 weeks in the UK and will be working remotely while I'm there. Am I able to take my Ring Central desktop phone with me and plug it into my wifi, and use it through my computer? Will this allow phone calls to come in from the US and allow me to call the US as if i was still in the States, or will there be extra charges associated? On that same note, if this is something I can do, would I be able to still use the call forwarding feature to send phone calls to my mobile phone while in the UK? I am trying to avoid any extra charges and I can't find detailed information about a situation like this.

i was trying to download a recorded voice mail using the desktop app and every time i do so a webpage open and display the mentioned error i have already tried clearing the cache and cookies , restarting the device. update the browser

I am a USA customer, about to travel internationally. I will only be making calls to USA numbers and receiving calls from USA numbers. As long as I am connected to wifi: will there be any additional charges?

Since the new phone view, I've had several issues where it takes almost a full minute for the phone tab to load at all, and sometimes 2 or 3 minutes for a recent call to show up in the list. It used to be instant. Is there a way to restore the previous version?

How can I have the extra line switched over to a new employee?

If we are currently up and running with the sms feature, should we anticipate losing the feature for a while after submitting the TCR form?

Hello,We recently transitioned to RingCentral from Mitel. We've basically been dealing with two major issues that I'd like to ask the community about.1. With the Polycom VX 250 and 350 phones, we cannot get the extension to display anyone on the phone. Has anyone seen this or been able to find a solution for this?2. The corporate directory on the phone is pretty bad. Searching the phone directory is very difficult for users because of the way you have to hit so many keys to get the letters you're looking for. Does anyone experience this same thing? If so, what did you do for a solution? Thanks in advance,Joey

We are looking for a way to install the Ring Central App onto our Windows 10 PCs so that the installation is installed for not only the original user profile but for all previously existing and all future user profiles on the Windows PC. Is this possible and if so please let us know how we can accomplish this.

Why does extension-to-extension missed calls affect the total number of missed calls?

I see the Polycom OBI 302 on the RC site listed, but wondering if the OBI 300 is also compatible as I only need one line for fax machine.

HI, I work in IT support for a small CRM, and we are testing out RC with our CRM. The issue we are having is that two users, my boss and I, cannot be logged into RC and making calls at the exact same time. Even with separate logins it will only allow one user to be logged in at a time. Can anyone shed light onto why this could be happening?

Are calls sent directly to a user's voicemail considered a missed call in reports?

from time to time RC is being logged out in salesforceis there an option to make it logged in always?i tried to take from devtolls network the api call from salesforce when login to ring central , im getting 200, but when refresh the sf page it seems that rc is still logged out
