Hi, I'm looking to try to develop a standard practice or policy of what to do when an employee goes on any type of leave (medical, paternity, ect). Typically our business will higher a temp employee to fill in the gap while the employee takes leave. We would like this experience to be as seamless as possible for our customers without having to change phone numbers and call trees. We would also like to make it easy for the employees and make sure temps can get old voicemails, and when the employee returns to transition everything back to them.Is there an easy way to handle these transitions? Do we need spare licenses for these purposes? Would it be best to create the temp employee their own account and forward all calls to the temp employee? Then what about voicemail sharing. Or is it easier just to change the email address on the backend to the temp employee's email and let them log in like that.Just wanted to see what other businesses

Our SMS Log under Reports is now empty. I was trying to track down a text that was received in the admin account to find out who the text was being sent to and noticed that nothing has been logged since just after midnight on the 14th.Has anyone else experienced this and how did you get them back?

Hello,I don't want Ring Central to start up automatically on my Windows 11 PC, so I removed it from the startup app settings. Yet every time I use Ring Central, it seems to put itself back in the startup settings.Normally, I'd chalk this up to a Windows problem, but Ring Central is the only app I have this problem with. How to I keep it out of my startup apps?Thanks

I have had this account and phone number for 7 years now and use this as my personal and primary line to call and text my clients. I have been using it for years.. I don't use it as a big campaign, or send out hundreds or thousands of messages at once. My clients have already agreed to talking to me with my outbound agents. Transitioning to using an opt-in will kill my responses from my clients with them thinking its a bot talking to them and not me. I will leave RingCentral if I have to use Opt-in and opt-out for this personal business line that I have been using for 7 years. Is there a way around this or am I misunderstanding this whole process?

I have a snomD735-SIP phone. Do you have a template or configuration guide? I am looking to use this hard phone with this service. I have full admin rights to the phone.

We are currently not able to read our faxes AT ALL. NONE. They are all illegible when they hit the fax server. We are a doctors office and 24 hours of no faxes is a critical failure in our world. We are not getting much help or information from support. Has anyone had issues such as this before? We have not really had a critical system down error before this one. This is urgent to us and we are not receiving the support we would expect for such a critical part of our business.

Hello, We just had our Brand approved yesterday, still waiting on the Campaign (submitted yesterday as well). At what point do we assign the associated phone number(s) to the Campaign, only once it has been approved/registered? Do we list our RingCentral main number or any that we use? (Initially I thought we were told main number, and that RC would link the numbers as needed, future numbers, etc.). We are a new customer so we have not "migrated" our numbers yet form our old provider (afraid to lose texting capabilities while this TCR confusion was going on). So, assuming our Campaign is approved, what is the next step, do we need to get Implementation involved first? Is there a video or tutorial for this last step? Thank you very much!

I currently forward all my calls to my cell phone number. when I dont answer a call it goes to my cell phone voicemail. How can I make it go back to my RingCentral voicemail when I deny a call and or when I dont answer a call? Please explain the process of how to set this up. Thank you So much!

In our company we mainly user texting for confirming the order/invoice is correct. The only "consent" we say is on the phone call "okay we are about to text you your invoice please confirm it is correct" etc. What would I put in the obtaining consent box?

We never send texts, but occasionally a client will send us one or a website will send a login passcode via text to our primary number. We need to continue being able to receive texts, but have no desire or need to ever send texts. I have registered the company, but do we need a campaign? As we do not send texts, it seems we would quickly fall into the "fines" for not sending enough, and all the verbiage I have seen about having SMS getting disabled only references sending texts, but we cannot afford getting locked of receiving texts... I'm attempting to set up a webhook that can be used to keep the status of RingCentral (glip) Tasks in sync with an external system. have an issue with rooms on multiple locations . Every few days the controller goes offline and does not work unless we restart it .Mostly happenns when there are pending IOS updates. We turned the updates off and it still does the same thing . The HOST stays online all the time . Sometimes the Ipad is connected to network but still does not pair with the HOST .

When applying, it says our address needs to match the address from our EIN application form, (which was outside of the US at the time of applying). However when I fill out the application it does not allow me to change the country field. Is there any way to submit an application in this situation? It says if they do not match it will be rejected automatically, so I'm not sure how to fix this.

I’ve registered with TCR for my brand (my company) and a “campaign”. But I can‘t find any explanation of what a campaign is?I mostly text with clients to schedule/confirm appointments. Is that a campaign? And do I have to do something else before 3/31 in order to continue this practice?

During the Campaign setup process we stopped at this question not because of the number, but because of the 6 messages per minute threshold.Does this apply to both inbound and outbound?If a number exceeds the threshold, will they roll over? In other words, if I exceed the 6 messages in a minute threshold, will the seventh simply be delayed?We ran a report and found there were a total of 11 instances in all of last year where we exceeded that threshold. The difference between $18 and $120 is significant for us.Much thanks in advance.

We are having problems with the phones also, some of our calls are not coming in but will show on the app they just called.

Hello, I am having an issue where I am unable to Disable a user. We just had someone leave the company recently and I need to re-purpose their number and assigned to a new hire coming onboard. Typically, what I do is Disable the user then Delete the user and put the number back into the Number Inventory. When I try to Disable the use in question, I receive an error message that says "Some users cannot be Disabled. You need to only select users that are in Enabled state".Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've submitted a web case but support is non-existent.

App development team to modify how Avaya app links to company address books within 365 and ask that it respects the ‘Hide from global address book’ attribute as it is currently populating addresses to users Avaya application contacts that should be hidden from view.As shown: Chris Pettit contacts is showing even though the setting has set to hide from global address book.

I have been trying for a month to get help with this and RC Support either acts like they don't understand or doesn't call back and I'm very frustrated so sorry if this comes off super complainy. I need some help!I manage a doctor's office. Our doctors rotate who is "on call" overnight. We are set up so there is a dummy user that receives all after hours calls from the IVR and custom rules set up to forward any calls to the doctor that is designated ON CALL for that specific day. Since 2/10, we no longer see the number of the person that is calling, only that the dummy user has forwarded a call. My docs need to be able to quickly see who is calling (is it the hospital? the lab? a patient?) so if they are in surgery, they can opt to answer something urgent or if it is a known call they are waiting on that has priority over another. I have emailed back and forth with support, done the chat, requested multiple phone calls, sat on eternal hold and nothin

My office has been using Ring Central for years. Whatever the latest update had in it, has totally corrupted the desktop app. It's slow to load, rejects texts, won't let me pick up calls and has crashed my business which survives on the phone. Please investigate this and send a better update.

I never received an email from RC re the new regs. My first notice was this weekend when I opened the desktop app and saw a banner. There aren't 20 business days left in the month to resolve issues, and there are potentially many.

We are a Non-Profit. We obtain donations through our 3rd-party payment processor's configurable forms on our website. Phone and Mobile Phone are among the available fields. Is it necessary that our processer's form "State that recipients are consenting to receive SMS messages...?"

Our FAX app has graduated to production. However, every FAX we send still results in a confirmation email. Is there a way to turn off the confirmation emails?

I just received notice of the new TCR rules this weekend. While I immediately started the process, it doesn't seem likely it will be complete by 3/31. I am an attorney who has some clients who prefer to communicate via text. If suddenly I can't respond after 3/31, I could have some unhappy clients. I'm not at all happy with RC's rollout of this process.
