Hi all, if the admin of a chat group leaves the company, what happens to the chat group? Does another member of the group automatically get allocated as the admin? Or, do you basically need to start the group again with a new admin so you can add/remove members? I know the simple solution is to have more than one admin in each group however wanted to know what occurs in this above situation. Thanks.

The new desk top app is horrible. You can no preview messages under each phone number. You have to select each text message to see what it says. Where is the preview option?,The new Desktop app is horrible. It doesn't allow you to preveiw the text messages associated with the phone number. You have to select each phone number to see what it says. It also doesn't sync to the mobile app. Hos is this a complete integrates system if you can't sync the 2!

Now that 80 % of our employees are working from home, when they are one their Ring Central smart phone, when the second call comes in , they dont see and sometimes miss the important client calls.At the end of the week, when we present the Annalistic phone reports to the owner and managers, it shows many uses have missed so many calls, and the owner gets upset, at a  point that wants to fire people.Can you please come up with a new version, that shows the call waiting?It does not matter what the employee says that they did not miss and phone was right next to them, but the report shows otherwise.Please let me know when you can add this feature.Regards,

Hi,I'm using the sandbox account https://service.devtest.ringcentral.com for testing api.I tried to create meeting using API, but I'm getting this error[errorCode] => CMN-408 [message] => [Meetings] permission required I have granted my app the permission to access and update Meetings. but still no luck. Also there is not option for meetings in UI too.

In the ringcentral portal you can forward calls to other non ringcentral devices such as mobile phones by manually typing the number and forwarding to other ringcentral users, but according to support this only works f or the RC Phone app and you can't forward calls to other users using Glip as their softphone.Please add a feature to forward calls to other users in GlipI thought manually typing the number would work because it is just an arbitrary phone number, but if you try to receive the call forwarding in Glip it will never happen. You  have to be using RC Phone instead which is odd that this rule applies if its a ringcentral phone number, but not any other phone number.

Started after recent RingCentral updates.During meetings, one user's profile picture is displayed above the actual attendee's name. Is this happening to others?

I would like to be able to set up my voicemail (Not the Greeting) so that I can give them the option of choosing an extension. The example would be. "I am out of the office right now, if you want to talk to Bob choose extension 201, to Carol choose extension 203." -or- "Our office is now closed to leave a message press #, to get our hours press 201, our street address 202..."

Since the day I upgraded the OS on my Macbook Pro to Big Sur, I've experienced numerous issues with the RingCentral app. It will freeze on many occasions. While it can happen at any time, it will typically happen when I hit the "gallery view" or press "join breakout room". The entire app will freeze, and I am then forced to "force quit".It's been almost 4 months since updating my OS. I think it's about time that RingCentral fixes these bugs to be more compatible with Big Sur. Otherwise, what is the point of paying them? They are losing my trust at this point. Seems as if there is never an update for their software.

Using the Web App, you had the ability to add an optional title to the link to make it clearer as to what the link is. Is this feature no longer going to be available for either the Desktop or Web Apps?

Presence has stopped working for some of our users Polycom desk phones. Tried rebuilding presence, switching phones, and changing users. Have a current ticket #12657361 and was told there was an issue with presence not working correctly on the app but that it was resolved. Now we are having the same issue affect our desk phones for some of our users. Does anyone have suggestions for a fix because nothing has changed regarding our settings on our side for the 5 years we have been with Ring Central.

Glip Classic has an internal Calendar function that does not transfer over to the new desktop app making it useless for those of us using that internal calendar function.

In mid-November 2019, while trying to run employee call logs from October 2019 (prior to the 11/3/19 Daylight Savings time conversion), all call times are off by 1 hour (early).  It seems that, after Daylight Savings passed on 11/3/19, any call log reports run after that point, with a target timeframe from before DST, the RingCentral system subtracts 1 hour from each call start time (presumably because we "fell back 1 hour" on 11/3/19).Isn't your system sophisticated enough to know that DST has taken place, and adjust the call times?  It shouldn't be subtracting an hour for calls being run in a report that took place prior to DST... the calls were at the time they were at, not an hour earlier.For example... our company has team meetings every Tues. @ 12pm ET.  All team calls after Nov. 3 reflect 12pm ET start for each participant.  However, all Tues. meetings prior to DST show 11am ET start time, which is incorrect.Please advise a

Our accounting clerk is working with 10 bank accounts that send their verification codes by using our main company phone number. She is unable to receive these automated verification calls because our auto receptionist picks up and runs her script. Is there a way to push these calls directly to her without changing the number in the bank accounts or a way to turn the auto receptionist off for a short time to allow her to get these verification calls?

Our company would like to alert people when a trainer joins a call. Is there a pop-up, an icon, or an audible alert we can use to let folks know their call is being listened in on?

Is there a workaround (aside from sending to email/s) to have all extensions receiving the voicemails simultaneously? We would like everyone to have access to the voicemails on their desktop phone/app. in case the one we can currently assign is busy/not working etc etc.

Hello all. I was looking to find a way to recreate the pick up feature found on other PBXs. I'd like to have calls ring a night bell via an ATA after hours, and assign a monitor key to several phones throughout the building to allow them to answer the call (without ringing all the phones). I know one way is to put all phones, plus the ATA in a call group, but that will ring the phones which I am hoping to not do. Can I assign up to 10 phones as delegates for an ATA and turn off ringing, or can this only be done from a user to another user?

The requirements to run a virtual background without green screen on macos 10.14 and higher is ridiculous, with the i7 cpu requirement. Zoom, which RC meetings is based off, does not have these requirements, so what is with RC code that is so poor forcing the higher requirements.
