Simple request (capability is available with other vendors): I want customers to be able to both make voice calls and send text messages to my existing 800 #.

We are sending the sms via api and getting the response in some cases{"status":"error","status_code":403,"error_code":"MSG-384","message":"Account limits exceeded. Cannot send the message." } Can anyone please tell the exact reason of this error and how to resolve the issue .

Please update the Unified App to act as a softphone so our staff can answer calls from mobile devices. We are limited to using RingCentral Phone for Windows in order to answer calls to our main line that roll to ring groups sequentially.

Hi,is there a way to disable or at least modify the headline automatically added for faxes? Our documents already include a headline by default, so we get duplicate headlines in that case. We use REST API to send faxes.Thanks, Clemens

Please start supporting the latest version firmware for the Cisco 8861 phones. Besides improving call quality with headsets, and features, it corrects many security vulnerabilities. The only officially version that RC supports (11.1) is riddled with security vulnerabilities. Cisco recommends to upgrade to 11.3.x to mitigate these security risks. Also, Version 11.1 cannot be managed by modern browsers any longer, now that it is approximately 4 years old.

According to https://ringcentral-api-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/basics/uri-schemes/,rcapp://r/{phone-number}is the url format that will "Launch the RingCentral App, and initiate a phone call to the phone number provided."As the old RingCentral app will no longer being supported, I tried to set up usage of this url. This format will launch the RingCentral app, however it will not pre-populate the phone number. This is important functionality for our business and this is a large new limitation that previously had been supported.Is there a technical reason that this is not currently interoperating?

Hi all, I am working on getting a Cisco 6901 up and registered using the manual provisioning method. Has anyone had any experience with these handsets? Cisco phones seem to ship with their own propritary protocol SCCP. I have managed to use TFTP to upgrade the firmware to a SIP firmware successfully.Does anyone have a example SEPXXX.cnf.xml file? The phone has successfully received the file via TFTP, however i am assuming i am missing some entries within the file to allow it to register back to RC. The web interface for this phone is very scaled back/limited which is a shame so the SEPXXX file is the only way to configure the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt.

How do I remove the city location that is showing on the call number?

I see we are promoted to production. Do i need to set up credentials using Setup Wizard for our main account the same way i did for sandbox account?

When we place a shared line call on hold it will ring on the other phones that can access the shared line. Isn't this the intended way it's supposed to work? Is there a way to change this? We have a user claiming that it was never working that way before and wants it changed, but I've always experienced the above behavior and can't see a setting for this in the system.

Starting on 3/31/21, 3 of our extensions started showing in the incorrect presence status. These 3 extensions always show (red light and red dot on the person) that they are on an active call for all of the other extensions.In working with support, we have performed a factory reset on these 3 extension and re-provisioned them, but that hasn't solve the issue.Has anyone else experience this issue or have additional recommendations?

Recently we have been receiving this message on our cell phones Network Unstable. And on our deskphone, sometimes the calls don't even come through, they randomly go directly to voicemail. Support wasn't much help. Is anyone having this issue?

In the RC Phone app, there were favorites. I don't see that in the new RingCentral app. Do I understand it correctly that there are no Favorites that frequently-called Contacts can be assigned to?

We created an url which opens when we receive a phone call to our Ring Central soft phone. But when we restart the computer the url is missing. We spoke to Ring Central customer service and they explain that is normal. It will not keep the url in the softphone. So our only solution is to re-paste the url everyday in the soft phone.

How to transfer voicemail of one extension to another?

Would love to see the option for creating recurring meetings with notifications within the Ring Central app as opposed to linking to external calendars. Especially for internal teams. ,It would be awesome if when we schedule a meeting, specifically for a created team, there was an option to make it recurring as well as a notification option within the platform rather than using external calendars, etc.

Is there a way to track when an agent is logged into RC and when they are logged out? Alternatively, can we track when they are available in a queue?We want to determine the amount of time a user is spending in each queue each day. (Not just the live reports).I see there is a Get Call Queue Members in the API, but I believe this will only provide the list at that moment, is this correct? In other words, I'd be force to query it every minute to track changes.

I have not updated to Desktop Meetings v21.1 because of this line in the changelog - why is this regression being implemented? This is going to severely hinder my ability to screen share with pairing partners as a developer - especially so as I have a high resolution widescreen monitor

We have some call queues and we need to know what happend when a call is redirected to a call queue.All the numbers in call queue ring at same time and the call goes to the first who take the phone call?Is possible to order the call queue and assing a response priority order with a seconds interval to jump to next extension in queue if the previous extensions is bussy or dont pick up the phone?Thanks
