Can't hear incoming callers

Here is how you adjust the volume for active calls directly within the RingCentral desktop application:

RingCentral has separate controls for the speaker volume of an active call and the volume of the ringtone/notifications.

1. Click the Settings gear icon (⚙️) in the navigation bar of the RingCentral desktop app.

2. Go to Audio.

3. Under the Audio settings section, look for Output (Speaker settings).

4. You will see two key controls:

   • Speaker source: Click the dropdown next to Speaker source to make sure the correct output device (e.g., your headset, external speakers, etc.) is selected for the audio you hear during a call.

   • Speaker volume: Use the Speaker volume slider to adjust the volume for the audio you'll hear during a phone call. This should resolve the issue of not being able to hear the caller well.

Note: The RingCentral app's volume controls operate independently of your computer's main volume settings.

   • Ringtone and notification source: Click the dropdown to select which device will play the ringing sound (e.g., your computer speakers, a specific headset, or "All audio sources" if you want it to ring everywhere).

   • Ringtone and notification volume: Use the slider next to this option to adjust how loud the ringtone and other notification sounds will be.
