I am trying to build a Windows service that can collect call-log data from the RingCentral system, as real-time as possible. I am working in .NET Visual Basic. I have been able to POST requests to the RingCentral URL and get responses. I have also created a PubNub account and can Publish and Subscribe just fine. I understand that at RingCentral, I am supposed to POST a Subscription request and get my DeliveryMode Address and SubscriptionKey. I can see how they can be integrated with the PubNub URL. In one of the PubNub examples, I was able to Publish a string and subsequently Subscribe to the Channel and retrieve the string. What I am trying to understand is how do I access the new RingCentral notifications? Do I have to keep checking the PubNub URL for new data? Is PubNub the data host and that is why I have to query PubNub and not RingCentral directly? I don't have a data stream to test against, so when I Subscribe to PubNub I get nothing significant back. In our environment, we have a Palo Alto firewall that monitors traffic to determine which internet circuit to send traffic out of. For example, all voice traffic and ringcentral traffic is set to go out a specific circuit and all internet browsing goes out another. My problem arises when my app tries to subscribe while this advanced policy based forwarding is turned on. What happens is that call to subscribe to the events happens, it goes out internet connection A, but the SDK makes a call to Amazon AWS for some reason, and that traffic goes out connection B. The mismatch on circuits causes the subscription to error out with: " The underlying connection was closed."How I can fix this problem is by telling the firewall to route all of theses requests to go out the same circuit/internet connection. The problem is, I do not have a list of DNS addresses that it is looking for and the IP changes for Amazon AWS. Is there a way someone can tell me what DNS addresses or what IP range

In our previous phone system, users had the ability to access Department / Call Queue voicemail from their companion desktop app. They also had the ability to callback the caller that left the "group" voicemail. I am trying to provide them a solution that gives them similar functionality. So far I have given them access to the web portal with the login for that Call Queue, but they do not have the ability to click a number and ring out to their phone because they are not logged in themselves.Is there a way to download a voicemail from a mailbox using the API?Is there a way to play a voicemail over a users phone by initiating it from the API? aka I want to play a wav file over the users phone.Thanks

Hello! I'm working on a site that's currently trying to integrate with RingCentral's API. We have multiple customers that will be using the API, so we're going with the Authorization Code Flow. We're able to redirect the user over to RingCentral and have them authorize their account, but when trying to exchange the received code, we receive a 400 error.The site is an MVC5 app and I haven't been able to find any examples of the authorization code flow for this type of application, but maybe I haven't looked far enough. Simplest of issues: I have one main number & need to add at least one more (preferrably 3-4 more) to test issues like whether my application can properly send SMS messages and place calls based upon the logged-in user's individual number. I cannot find an area code with an available number. I'm in eastern Massachusetts but for testing purposes it's immaterial where the local number appears to be - Phoenix would be fine.

Until today we have been using active calls via the API via cron job. However this has stopped working and are receiving:Unable to login to Ring Central Internal Server Error. Consult RC Support.When calling that particular API Call.We can Authenticate fine (receiving Access Tokens etc) and we can call 'call-log' successfully.We have tried this using the Ring Centrral API Explorer and it seems it is only the active-call api that is failing with this 500 Error.Any help would be much appreciated.

Our center sends fax reports to physician offices through Ring Central. physicians who are connected to an Esker fax server are not getting our reports.Following is an email which I recved from the IT dept at SIH:It appears we have a lot of problems with the faxes coming in from Ring Central, more than just Dr. McElheny. As you stated, Ring Central is a cloud-based phone system and it sounds like an issue with FoIP. We suspect if they were using a physical fax board or fax machine, there would not be an issue. If they have a fax machine in their office, they should test with that. They will need to contact Ring Central. The bulk of issues we see regarding fax are with virtual fax boards, followed closely by line noise. If youre still concerned that this is an issue on the receiving end of the faxes, well need to run WireShark traces, well need the Brooktrout config files and well need to open a ticket with Dialogic. . I've been noticing with my app that I've been getting quite a few "Request Rate Exceeded" errors while trying to authenticate. In looking into this, I see that the limit is set to 5 Auth Requests per 60 seconds and then it goes on to say "The above rate limits for your application are set per user (RingCentral extension)."This limitation is perfectly fine with me if that's how it works...but it doesn't. We have a RingCentral account with 20 users in it. Each user has their own extension and direct number. The app attempts to authenticate as each user to get status updates on faxes. It appears that when the app gets to the 6th user it fails as we've already reached the limit by authenticating with the first 5 users in this account. I really need this fixed so that each user has the ability to authenticate without affecting the limits of other users. In the API Docs, it states if you want the subscription to return certain parameters, lets say, dndStatus on a Presence event, the aggregated query parameter on the subscription request need to be set to true. I am unable to see where you can set this parameter to true using the c# .NET SDK. Is this not a option using the SDK?
