Q: Where can the new inbound text feature be found in AI Receptionist?
A:  To use SMS with AIR, enable the SMS skill in the AIR portal and then assign the AI Receptionist to a shared inbox. If you want to add AIR to an SMS booster call queue, go to the queue settings > SMS Inbox Settings > then add an AI Receptionist.

Please note this feature is still in Controlled Availability and may not be available to everyone yet. If you’d like to get more information on early access, contact your account team!

Q: my RingEx app does not have the option to "Switch call to this device" when I am on a paired deskphone. how can i turn on this feature?

A: When your desk phone is paired with your app, it’s not an 'either/or' situation—both devices share the call concurrently.

If you want to fly solo on the app for your next call, here’s what you can do:

  1. Unpair first: Disconnect the desk phone before jumping on the call.
  2. The quick mute trick: Just hit mute on your desk phone and start using your app as usual."
