A huge thank you to everyone who tuned in for our latest RingEX Unlocked session, hosted by Sara Hoyt from RingCentral’s Customer Success Team and with our special guest Eric Kenney - Director, Product Marketing who showcased the Number Reputation Service. This month, we walked through major product updates spanning AI Receptionist enhancements, new AI agents and assistants, outbound call reputation, admin tools, and global expansion.
Catch up on all the top highlights below!
🤖 AI Receptionist (AIR) Enhancements
- Keypad Transfers (General Availability): Callers who already know the extension they want can enter it on their keypad at any point in the call and reach that person instantly.
- AIR Email Notifications (General Availability): Get email alerts for AIR usage limits and AIR-generated new leads, and subscribe to a post-call email summary digest.
- AIR IVR Wizard (Open Beta): Turn your existing IVR into an AIR draft in minutes. Each key press becomes a rule that routes callers by what they say, and your business hours and location carry over. Review, test, and go live instead of starting from scratch.
✨ AI Agents & Assistants
- RingCentral MCP: Connect RingCentral to Claude or ChatGPT and ask in plain language, such as “Did I miss any calls today?” or “Read me my most recent voicemail.” The Claude connection comes with 43 ready-made skills and workflows, and Claude only sees what your RingCentral role allows.Find setup guides, skills, and answers in the RingCentral MCP Community.
📞 RingEX Experience & Admin Tools
- Number Reputation Service: Helps legitimate business calls lose inaccurate spam labels. You complete a short business verification form, choose which of your RingCentral numbers to register (all of them or just a subset), and RingCentral monitors those numbers and coordinates label reviews with the carriers and analytics providers if a number gets flagged.
- Delegated Lines: Delegated lines (bridged call appearance) no longer need to be enabled through support. Assigned users can call on behalf of others, hold and pick up calls within the group, share lines, and join or barge in on calls.
- Enhanced In-App User Administration (General Availability): Admins can see user profiles, license allocations, and add-ons, and purchase licenses on demand, right from the User Management screen in the RingCentral desktop app. A few tasks still need the full admin portal: bring your own device and emergency response location management, and phone number pool selection. Phone lines in the app are limited to domestic locations.
- My RingCentral Team Tab: Admins can now find their dedicated RingCentral contacts, such as the account executive, customer success manager, and technical support contacts, under Help in the RingCentral app.
🌍 Global Expansion
- BYOC Support Expansion (General Availability): Bring Your Own Carrier capabilities and dialing plans now extend to Serbia and Ukraine, so multinational customers can keep their local voice carrier while using RingEX cloud PBX, video, team messaging, and file sharing.
