Hi @PastorgΒ β€” great question, and you're not alone in wondering about this!

The default RingCentral voicemail greeting is a generic system prompt that doesn't include your company name. Unfortunately, there's no way to inject a company name into the default greeting itself. However, recording a custom greeting is quick and easy, and gives you full control over exactly what callers hear β€” including your company name, department, hours, or anything else you'd like.

Here's how to set it up depending on where you prefer to work:

Via the RingCentral desktop or web app:

  1. Go to Settings > Phone in the left navigation bar
  2. Next to Voicemail, click Edit
  3. Click Edit next to your current greeting and record your custom message
  4. Click Save

Via the Admin Portal:

  1. Sign in at service.ringcentral.com
  2. Go to Settings > Call Forwarding and Voicemail
  3. Under Work Hours, scroll to Missed Calls and click Edit next to the greeting
  4. Record or upload your custom greeting and click Save

You can also set separate greetings for Work Hours and After Hours if you need different messaging at different times of day.

Want something that sounds more polished?

If you'd like your greeting to sound more professional than a self-recorded message, RingCentral has an official integration with Snap Recordings worth checking out. They specialize in custom phone system audio and offer two approaches:

  • RealVoice β€” Your script recorded by a professional human voice actor (150+ talent options, multiple languages and accents)
  • Phonzai β€” An AI-powered tool that generates studio-quality recordings instantly from your script, in 40+ languages

Both integrate directly with RingEX, so you can upload the finished recording straight to your account without any manual file handling. They also have an AI writing assistant that can help you draft a script if you're not sure what to say. It's not a free service, but if your company's phone presence matters to your brand, it's a solid option.

Hope that helps β€” let us know if you run into any issues!
