I attached a custom hold music piece to department> call handling>audio while connecting. Clients are stating that the custom music is too loud. When it was rendered, it was rendered at a normalized decibel level. Uploaded as 16 bit pcm .wav at 8khz mono. Anyone know how to reduce the playback volume on the RingCentral side?

I filtered calls to/from a specific number for the last 7 days. I used the check box to select the calls to and from that phone number. I clicked on "Delete Calls". It asked me if I wanted to delete "All Calls" and of course, since I had selected only the calls I wanted to delete and filtered them by 1 phone number so only a handful of calls came up in the search, I said "yes". The next thing I did is go back to all the calls to the main call log with no filters. There was nothing there... except for existing calls that were in progress. All calls had been deleted. The recordings are very important to our business and we refer back to them and/or send them to customers when something comes up. We also use the call log for training purposes. To have the entire call log deleted in this way is very deflating, although I did delete it myself, I'm not sure how. I can make calls on the RC softphone for mobile and desktop but I don't get any ringing when someone calls (in). I also have a Cisco IP phone SPA525G which works as expected (Probably not relevant). We have switched to remote work so now we need the softphone to receive calls in addition to IP phones. I don't mind if they all ring at once or in sequence. Some of my colleagues are having the same problem and I have been tasked with fixing the issue. Thank you in advance.

Previous to about a week ago, participants on Chrome OS were able to screen share without issue. Today when attempting to have a participant screen share from Chrome OS, the OS notified the participant that screen sharing had started, but all others in the meeting could not see what was being shared.This has been tested on Google Pixelbook and ACER Chromebase.

What router works best with ringcentral and Verizon Fios?

We are currently using a Yealink 56P as our cordless phone along with several other Polycom corded phones. With our phone system setup, in order to transfer a call to another phone, it has to be parked first. We have softkeys on the desktop phones setup for this, but not for the cordless There is a sequence of keys that can be used, but for all practical purposes no one is going to do that from the cordless phone as it is just too difficult. Does anyone know a way to EASILY send a call to one of two predefined parking spots from the Yealink cordless phones?Is there another compatible cordless phone that might work better? I have read through the manuals for several other non-supported cordless models and haven't been able to find anything.Would using a cell phone with the mobile app potentially provide a better solution?Any help would be appreciated.

RingCentral works fine for my own incoming calls. But monitor via the HUD (RingCentral Phone) I see the call coming in but no window displays to pickup the call. Like others.We using this to monitor the reception phone number.Using the latest version, in terms of the settings all configured the same as others that work windows 10.Is there any reason why I can see incoming call (HUD) but not answer it?

I am trying to add extensions without an actual phone. I get stuck because these extensions require an e-mail address which is not available either. Any thoughts?

How do I help a coworker set up her Voicemail PIN for her Desktop Ring Central phone. It is a T46S model. Technology is not her friend so I am trying to help her.

My laptop's fan has been running a lot. I opened up task manager several times to find an app called "SoftphoneCrashMonitor (32-bit)" using excessive resources (7-20% of a Xeon 3.0 GHz CPU). If I quit RingCentral's app, the resource hog goes away.This was not a problem until that latest app update.

We are having an issue where some users cannot monitor a call if it is RingCentral conference line. Any other type of call can be monitored fine. Only if the number is 266-337-3623 .Has anyone had this issue before? If so, is there a fix that has worked with you?

Is it possible to have two different custom greetings for my voice mail message? I'd like to record an alternate custom greeting when I am out of the office/vacation. I only see an option to record only one custom or use the Ring Central default voice mail message. Thanks.

Hello, we have an after hours line set up to send a notification via email and SMS when someone leaves a voicemail. This works most of the time, though in some cases we do not receive an SMS notification. We're sure that everything is set properly on our end though we don't know why the issue keeps occurring. Any help would be appreciated!

Generally what we have seen is the contact are based on each user's or extension. So if one user have personal contact other extension cannot able to view it.What about if the user want to share their personal contact with another user.There is no personal contact in admin level. Is there any way to share extension contact with other extension people from company levels?

When an employee leaves the company, we often need to forward their calls to another manager for at least a month. How do we do this, while still deactivating the terminated employees' access to RC? I changed their passwords, but it won't log them out automatically from their mobile RC app, so they technically can still message, etc.

A few weeks ago, for a very short amount of time, I was able to select the option to listen to the call recording directly from Contact Details window that pops up, using the ACD Recording tab. There were two options, one to use a phone line to listen to the call where I put in my cell number which is OK. Then the other option I could just click play for the recording and it was really nice to be able to do that. I noticed a few days ago this is no longer the case and I am back to using my cell phone to listen to calls. Otherwise I have to download the call which is not always needed.

We have rolled out the RingCentral classic app organization-wide and are using it in conjunction with Polycom desk phones. Many of our users have Call Handling settings under Desktop/Mobile App set to "0 Rings/0 Secs" in order to allow the app and their desk phone to ring simultaneously. I got a report from a user today who is a member of a call queue, working remotely (away from their deskphone). They needed to change Desktop & Mobile on their extension to 4 or 5 rings in order to allow queue calls to ring their Classic app long enough to answer. The 0 Rings setting rang once but not long enough to pick up. The queue itself is set to move to the next available agent after 5 Rings/25 seconds.Is this the expected behavior in RC Classic when queue calls come in?

In my call handling & forwarding settings I have my desktop & mobile apps set to ring 3 times and then I have the calls being forwarded to a team member. However, when I receive a call it just rings until I manually forward it. What is the trick to making the rules I set in calling handling & forwarding work?

I have two extensions that are fine when dialing their extensions but when you dial all 10 digits of the number it appears a fax picks up the call. Is there a setting on these numbers that need adjustment?We are new to RC and I am still learning.

A client of mine just a few days ago signed up for a ring central fax account. he is now no longer able to log into his account, it says his password is incorrect. he has done several password resets, and they are not arriving in his inbox. He has checked spam and junk folders, the emails are not arriving.He tried to call tech support, but apparently there is no way to speak with a human, all support calls tell him to use the self-help web page which is useless.How can my client resolve this so he can log into his account?

I tend to listen to my voicemails by email or on my Ring Central desktop app, but never on my actual phone. I noticed the other day that I have a lot of stored messages on my voicemail, so I wanted to know if there was a faster way to delete my voicemails from my phone rather than going through them one by one.

Why is this being retired? The Ring Central app is way to busy. We need a simple phone app without meetings and all the other nonsense.

Can you use the app to dial with and it use the desktop phone? Example: I type in the number on the desktop app and it will start dialing out using the desktop phone in speakermode?

Our Cornell users have been getting firewall popups that they consider frightening (see attached). This user reported this occurred after they had FIOS newly installed in their home last weekend. We are wondering if installation packages could include firewall settings appropriate for all network types users may encounter. At Cornell we centrally deploy the MSI version and our Desktop Support Team uses that to deploy and update versions on a campus-wide basis. They have noted that the package itself does not create the needed Defender firewall rules. They would prefer RingCentral provide these rules in their packaging rather than our IT creating work-arounds.
