Mobile App contacts out of sync with company contacts

We have users who are reporting their RC mobile app and RC desktop app are out of sync with the RC company directory(what I see in the Admin console).

The mobile app is still showing "dead" users with no way to re-sync with the main company directory to get the latest company address book.

The Desktop app lists a mixture of existing, new(added in the last few days) and staff who have been removed from the Admin console and no longer active.

Thoughts?

have you been able to resolve this?  We still see old users in the company contact list.

You may want to try this recommendation below:

 

1. For the Mobile App (iOS & Android)

Users need to manually clear the app’s internal storage:

  1. Tap the Profile Picture (top left corner) and go to Settings.

  2. Select Data and storage.

  3. Tap Clear cached data.

  4. Once completed, have them close the app completely and reopen it.

2. For the Desktop App (Windows & Mac)

The desktop app has a built-in troubleshooting tool to wipe out corrupted sync files:

  1. In the top menu bar, click on Help (on Mac, click RingCentral in the top left, then look for Help).

  2. Hover over Troubleshooting and click Reset App Data.

  3. Confirm the reset. The app will log them out and clear its cache. Once they log back in, it will force-download the exact, current active directory.

💡 Admin Pro-Tip: If a few specific "dead" users still show up even after an app reset, double-check your Admin Console > Users > User List. Sometimes, disabled extensions or deleted users are still checked to "Include User in Company Directory" under their User Details, keeping them visible to the rest of the company.
