Hello, has someone heard this weird tone or music when making an outbound call? It does not occur on every call, only in a few. It is a bit hard to describe but it’s like an ascending musical or tone scale that fades out. Sometimes it only sounds for like a second and other times for more, up to 10 seconds or so, before you can hear the “waiting-to-be-answered” tone or the person you’re calling picks up.
I’ve heard it and paid no attention to it but now it has happened a few times today and was wondering if anyone else experienced this and could know what this is.
Thank you!

Hi @JJose,
That little ascending musical chime is just background audio played by the other person's phone carrier while connecting your call.
It’s from their carrier: When you dial out, cell networks like Verizon or T-Mobile play short chimes or custom connection tones while locating the recipient's phone.
Why it varies: If the person you're calling has a spotty cell signal or a busy system, their network takes longer to hand off the call, making the chime play for up to 10 seconds before transitioning to a normal ring.
It's completely harmless and just means the recipient's network is doing its job! 😊
