Hi ​@BeckyH  and ​@Mary-Community_Moderator !

To address the reply made by ​@BeckyH to my previous message and the question she recently asked ​@ElizaS :  I have opened cases regarding this issue. Twice.

The first time, I called support and was told they would look into it. Shortly after the call ended, the case was marked “resolved and closed” and I received no further communications.

The second time, I submitted a case through the online portal and even attached a detailed call log showing dates, times, phone numbers and durations of the offending calls. That case was marked “resolved and closed” within hours — again, without any contact from anyone at RingCentral and no explanation or details given. When I reopened the case to request clarification, it was closed almost immediately a second time.

So while I appreciate the advice to open cases, RingCentral support has shown no willingness to speak to a customer about resolving this issue

For context: this past weekend alone I logged 1 hour and 52 minutes of junk voicemails. Since January, that’s 553 calls totaling nearly 14 hours.

This is happening to use over the past couple of months. RC has charged us over $2000 for these overages. We have not been able to reach someone at RC to help fix this issue. Instead, our account manager reached out and offered to sell us a package at $400/month to ‘save’ money. This is customer service at its worst.

Hi,

We have a contract With Ring Central and have a user on our end who recently got a 15-minute Voicemail. Is there a way to change this?

@EdgarC, RingCentral was able to help us with this issue by limiting the voicemail length to 3 minutes. We had an 800 number that was constantly receiving spam calls  with 20 minute voicemails. We still get those robo calls, but at least now the VMs are 3 minutes and we have only had 1 overage charge since they did that (it used to be an overage charge every other day!!!). It’s not a perfect fix, but I works well enough for us.

How do we limit the calls to 3 minutes?  

 

We receive minimum 8 calls a day after hours leaving blank messages for 8, 9, 12, 15 minutes.  Then Ringcentral charges us extra because we went over the phone limits - are we sure this is not RingCentral making these robo calls to boost revenue.

We have called, emailed RingCentral with no resolution.

It seems in this technology age with AI options on our call systems, but we cannot limit our voice messages for 3 minutes max?  How is this possible?
