Question

Being able to SMS employees not customers

We have no need to SMS customers, we need to use RC SMS capabilities to text EMPLOYEES who are out in the field.  Is there any way around the overreaching TCR registration?  Or A simplified one for non marketing use cases?

If you don’t want to do the rigamarole with TCR, I would suggest using the RingCentral App Messaging.
It is a part of your RingEX core product and can be used by your team members by adding the app to their phones.

Of you think this is an option you’d like to explore, I can share more materials that can help to get you started.

Let me know how you’re envisioning the set up.

Hey Becky,  unfortunately that wont work as those employees out in the field don’t have RC licenses.

You don’t need licenses to use Glip messaging!
If your employees’ work email is already linked to an extension, even if the extension has no assigned license, they can still use Glip messaging. They can download and login using their work email.

Now it’s a whole other ball of wax if they don’t have work emails.
