App Connect

I have used the RingCentral app in Pipedrive for all our extentions. The app is stating “cannot find log”. We have reinstalled the app and everything possible.

If we have multiple RingCentral instances/tenants using the same Bullhorn instance, are we able to setup server-side call logging with the same API user, or would each RC instance need its own API user? While the auth worked for me, my colleague is getting the “Server side logging turn ON” message and the “Server logging settings update failed. Please check your username and password” message at the same time when using the same API credentials as I used.

I logged in to App Connect v1.6.16 this morning, and found that all of our configs from the Admin Settings have disappeared/reverted. The API user info for server-side logging is gone, the default note actions are gone, etc. It’s as if it reverted to the default configuration settings. Is this expected? Why would this happen? How do we prevent this from happening?

Our RingCentral has our parent org added to be able to switch to it and manage it, along with some of our sister orgs’ instances -- to configure App Connect it states a Super Admin is needed. Would the parent org be able to do this configuration and have the config sync down to all of the sub-accounts it can switch to?

I am aware that Redtail creates activities to log calls. It has worked fine until today when a particular user seems to be added as an attendee on another users call log.  I have searched everywhere in RingCentral App Connect and Redtail for a setting but can’t find anything to change. To clarify. The attendee is getting an email with the open/closed activity.  When I went into the contact record, there are actually TWO activities, 1 for each attendee. We are stumped.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am having connection issues with the ringcentral app and Clio.  Once I connect and allow access it tells me that it cannot load user information. How can I get this resolved?

I have a non admin user who cannot connect to the ring central app.  I do not have an issue with admin users.  I am not receiving any errors, it just will not connect.

how do i clear the ring central R icon from bottom right of my computer screen

I’m running into two challenges with App Connect and wanted to check if someone could provide clarity.First, App Connect opens in a separate browser window, while the Chrome extension opens as a seamless slide-out panel within the page. The integrated experience is much more efficient, so I’m wondering if there is a reason App Connect isn’t designed to function the same way.Second, all call notes, call data, call logs, and text logs are being stored only on the Person record instead of the Deal record. Since Pipedrive is an activity-driven CRM and most of the work our team performs happens from within the Deal view, this creates friction and makes it difficult to maintain a clean workflow. Nearly every third-party tool we’ve used has the same limitation, so I’m hoping to understand whether this is intentional or if there’s a roadmap toward making Deal-level logging possible. If anyone can shed light on these two items, I’d really appreciate it. I’m just trying to keep my team’s workflow

I am using the RingCentral App Connect (Google Chrome Extension) that integrates RingCentral with CRMs (such as Clio). This tool allows logging calls and texts directly into the CRM.However, when logging phone calls—either manually or automatically—the system records the time as the following day if the call is logged after approximately 4 PM. This behavior is problematic because:The time should reflect the actual day the call occurred. I am unable to easily see future time entries  Alternatively, there should be an option to adjust this setting.Even if a call happens after 5 PM, I need it to appear in the time entries for the same day. The current setup makes it difficult to locate, edit, or delete the logged time entry.Expected Behavior:Calls logged under the same day they occurred, or provide a configurable setting to control this behavior.

Good Morning. I am in the process of testing this with our netsuite integration and just using it at my desk. Our goal is to deploy to our call center of 12 employees that use the softphone to monitor 2 call ques.  Features they use are the HUD, DND, and manually taking themselves in and out of call ques for misc. reasons along with standard features.  My question is, is App connect intended to replace the exisitng softphone that the call center agents currently use ?  If so, are all the features in the softphone in app connect ? in my testing when I call in I have both the softphone and app connect ringing, I’m just trying to figure out how its inteded to be used. Also, I believe I read in one of the email’s that this going to be mograting to a paid option at some point.  Can anyone confirm that and if so what is the time line for that ?Thank you for the help

The instructions at https://appconnect.labs.ringcentral.com/crm/netsuite/ worked for our instance. Random notesRole: RingCentral Unified CRM Extension - Permissions The role shows Employee view permissions but the documentation does not. We have this set to None without issue. Notes Tab - we have Create instead of Full Opportunity & Sales Order - we have Edit instead of Full User Access Tokens - we have None instead of Full Why would the role/user need “User Access Tokens”? I cannot find any use of a user access token for the uses I’ve created. 🤔 I’ve not been able to determine how to handle “scheduled phone calls”. Example: sales rep comes in today and has 30 calls scheduled. I cannot find a way where the rep opens the scheduled calls, has RingCentral dial the phone, and upon call disconnect RingCentral updates/completes the scheduled call.  Would anyone have suggestions?

Seem to not receive Call detail/memos into Netsuite if using Edge and app connect.  Thoughts on how to trouble shoot, or is this a known bug?

We're excited to announce the release of App Connect 1.6.9! This update includes a significant new feature for server-side logging and addresses a couple of key issues. Here is the change log for this release:New Feature Server-side Logging User Mapping Improvement: We've added support for mapping multiple RingCentral users to a single CRM user. This is especially useful for RingCentral users who have a "global license" and may have multiple logically distinct accounts in RingCentral, but only a single corresponding user account in your CRM. Fixes Google Sheets Connector: Fixed an issue where the connector was sometimes unable to select an existing Google Sheet. Multi-Site User Mapping: Fixed an issue where server-side logging user mapping did not work correctly in multi-site deployment scenarios. What's Next for App ConnectThe team is now shifting its focus and is excited to soon release a beta of the next major version of App Connect! You can learn more about this upcoming beta, its

We're excited to announce the release of the next version of App Connect, bringing key improvements to user experience, clarity, and setup processes. Check out what's new:New Features & Clarity Improvements Improved Number Formatting Guidance: For Clio, Insightly, and NetSuite users, we've added a helpful link to documentation about number formatting. This will help you better understand the specific formatting logic for these applications. Clearer Admin Setup for Server-Side Logging: We've improved the UI to clearly reflect the current limitation of server-side call logging: only a single admin can set it up. Now, if server-side call logging has already been configured, other admins will see a message indicating it's already set up and by whom. This removes setup confusion and prevents accidental configuration changes. Fixes & Reliability Enhancements Better Bullhorn Setup Warning: When setting up server-side logging for Bullhorn, you'll now get a warning message if the ente

No issue with RingCentral Video with mic or Speaker.   With RingCentral App Connect user can receive calls and hear and speak.   When making calls, they can not hear and believe the person called can not hear.Added external Mic and speaker to get inbound calls working.

Any ideas on why App Connect is not logging calls in Bullhorn?  It does for some calls, not others. It works from some users in my office and not others.   I have read all the documentation, checked settings for all users to ensure it should be logging.  Also checked to make sure contact and number is correct. Funny thing, the unlogged contact when clicked on in the app will take me to the correct record in Bullhorn, but there is no logged note.

We're excited to announce the release of App Connect 1.6.7, which includes several important fixes and improvements to enhance your experience. This update focuses on improving integrations with Clio, NetSuite, and Bullhorn, as well as addressing a microphone selection issue. What's New in this Version?Clio  Enhanced SMS Logging: We've improved how App Connect logs media sent via SMS. Images and videos now appear as a media link in the resulting message logs, making it easier to access and review them. NetSuite  New Transaction Field Association: Phone call logs in NetSuite now include a native transaction field that creates a direct association with the relevant Sales Order or Opportunity, streamlining your record-keeping. Expanded Contact Types: We've added support for logging calls against Vendors. Previously, you could only log calls against Customers and Contacts. This new functionality provides a more comprehensive view of all your business communications within NetSuite. Bullho

Phone number format alternatives are###-###-#### # ###-###-####Dial/call logging works for the phone number 214-555-5555. (obviously using a real number)Dial works for the phone number 1 214-555-5555. Call logging does not work, it cannot find the contact. If I change the Phone number format alternatives to 1 ###-###-#### then 1 214-555-5555 works. Is this the expected behavior?

Hello! We are using the RingCentral App Connect extension with NetSuite and have enabled the “Opportunity Logging” option under NetSuite Options. When logging a call, the extension shows me a dropdown list of active Opportunities from NetSuite associated with that customer/contact. I can select one (e.g., Opportunity #OPP1529). However, after saving the log, the resulting Phone Call record in NetSuite does not show any value in the native “Transaction” field nor does it show any information in the message/detail field that it was associated with OPP1529. Details: The call log itself is created successfully with Summary, Notes, Contact Number, Duration, and Recording link. The Opportunity I select in App Connect is not written to the Transaction field in the NetSuite log. The user role has Full access to Phone Call, Task, Event, Customer, Contact, and Opportunity records. Testing with the Administrator role produces the same result (Transaction still blank, no note in the details o
