Is it possible to add a new contact (a name and number for example) via the API so when a customer signs up there info is automatically added to RingCentral so if and when they call we have their name to show on the screen?

I move from Ooma to RingCentral becuse I was told it was better, but one thing I can’t find is Notification when you have a voicemail or a missed call, it did always show with the Ooma app.

I wanted to get a Teams notification each time a change occurs on our platform, like a user is updated or deleted - so we could see if people are adding or deleting people without us knowing. The Subscriptions API sounded ideal - and it’s working, to an extent. Each time there’s an update to an extension (user), I get a notification via Webhook to Teams.The problem is, the content of the “event” is… minimal. And I’m not sure how I’m meant to do much with it.This is an example of the body of an event:"body":{"extensions":[{"extensionId":"xxxxxx","eventType":"Update","hints":["ExtensionInfo","CompanyNumbers"]}]}}', 'isBase64Encoded': False}I get that I’m meant to use the Hints values to query that Extension and I can see the new Extension information. When I get a call from a call queue if I click "Ignore Call" on my desktop app the Incoming Call screen goes away and then pops right back up a few seconds later. Same thing on the phone app. Using an Android phone if I decline a call, it goes away for a second then just comes right back up. This is extremely annoying. Please look into fixing it. If I ignore a call, I want it ignored. I don't care if it's in a queue and nobody else is answering. If I'm busy, I'm busy.

We are having a couple issues with automatic call recording.When our people call out and they call a number that has a virtual assistant, our call recording message plays over the virtual assistant options. Should this be happening? We have customers that hang up as soon as the call recording message starts playing when we call because they think they are talking to a robot or spam. Has anyone found anything that helps with this? We tried putting our company name in the first part of it so they would know it was us, but that isn’t working as well as we hoped, and now the message is super long.

I am trying to stream call from RingCentral CX using gRPC server. Found the following page: https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/using-streaming-nodes-in-ringcx-workflow-studio.html  However, this page does not provide any detailed information regarding the gRPC server implementation. Here we only must provide server address with security credentials. I mainly have three questions:  To implement gRPC server, clients need to know which server function to call. And I don’t see any scope where I can provide “. proto” file or configure the client streaming data through dedicated server function. How can I configure the call stream to find “.proto” schema?  I found a detailed implementation using WebSocket Server (WSS) (https://developers.ringcentral.com/engage/voice/guide/workforce/call-streaming/getting-started ). Is there any such working demo which implements a gRPC server?  Once we create a streaming workflow, is it applied to every call for every agent in the company? Or is it

I am a RingCentral partner and have several clients that are reporting that random phones will report no service and then reconnect. There is no rhyme or reason behind this. We have unassigned the desk phones and reassigned them and that has fixed the issue for some but not all.  As this is happening to several of my clients thar are in different areas and different internet providers and that it is random phones and not all phones we can not find what is causing this issue. All network requirements are met. 

We use Ring Central Polycom VVX 450s across our organization. I have 2 phones that are occasionally de-registering themselves and stating “No Service” then moments later will come back up. I don’t think it has anything to do with PoE as the phones will stay on during this time. The firewall is allowing for connections out to the IP/Port. Would having inbound connections limited affect this? The phones are on two different switches. Again this is only happening to 2 phones that I’m aware of, out of the 90+ in our environment. Any help would be appreciated. Hi all! We have been having an ongoing issue for weeks that has become quite frustrating. Every time we run a campaign (even if the campaign is still open) we are unable to download any reports regarding that campaign. It is pivotal that we have that information as that excel sheet is the basis for follow-up campaigns the next week. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are at our wits end. I've included a screenshot from this morning for a campaign that closed less than 24 hours ago. Ring Central support told us to reach out on this platform and tag @Phong Vu for help

Hi Team,I’ve already added the required RingSense scopes to my application, but I still cannot retrieve the transcript and summary from the RingSense API. Every request returns a 403 Forbidden error.When I tried to access this API to get transcript & summary, it looks like not be granted permission:Question:Are there additional permissions or entitlements required to access transcript and summary data from RingSense?Expected Result:Able to retrieve call insights (transcript + summary) for valid record IDs once scope is granted.

Apparently there is no way for agents to see each other’s availability in RingCX, but they can in RingEX.  This seems extraordinarily silly.  Does anyone know of a workaround for this??

Hello,My Yealink T33G phones keep resetting nightly. I’ve emailed Yealink at the direction of RingCentral Technical Support and this is what they directed but I cannot figure out within the phone IP log in how to update these settings. Any help is appreciated!  

HiI am working on a workflow that has some JS and I need to play different audio file greeting based on the DNIS of the incoming call. I am able to handle the DNIS and put in if condition for it but I am not able to play the audio prompt in the next node. get var P3 = "Name_of_Audio_File" And the next node is as follows  When I test call the workflow I get no audio.  Has any one been able to play audio file by using the file name in an a variable ?
