With Multiple Account Numbers How can we label incoming calls to identify the Call source on multiple devices? We have a main line with several extensions connected to multiple devices. Is there any way to have all incoming calls identified by the call source or which extension is dialed? I.E incoming call may come from a similar source but ring several devices - yet we don't know what source or company the incoming call is for.

For the past several weeks I have seen an uptick in unauthorized login attempts using our Admin account. Previously the attempts were using published numbers but now I am seeing numbers that are not published and Internet searches come up empty. I know that attempting to hack into accounts is an all day every day thing regardless of what application but was hoping there was something that RingCentral could do to block bad actors.When I reached out to support and posed the question of blocking IP addresses within their network I was advised that I would need my network team to create blocks within our firewall. Obviously this doesn't make sense since RingCentral can be accessed from anywhere.I am curious as to how other members of the community are addressing unauthorized login attempts.Thank you

Regarding getting my customers opted to the text registry. I have 1000 customers and I don't want to email or text each customer one at a time to get approval. How can send them all messages and upload the responses all at the same time. Also who and where do I upload the approvals. What does the accepted approval look like. Can it be email or a text thread asking the opt in quesiton then having the answer? How and where do we upload this opt in form to. Do we do it directly to the TCR or though ring central.?

We the registered the TCR though ring central. 1) Can and should we also register with the website www.campaignregistry.com 2) Is there like a customer portal with the TCR to show you if there any any complaints or fines on your account. What happens in the future if there are fines or issues with your compliancy where do we handle these matter. Though ring central or directly on TCR websites?

Starting on 3-11-2023 the text message started having massive failure. Almost all my text messaged that have pictures attached to them or link are failing. Please tell me how to submit a support ticket to the Text Developers?

We are using our texting to communicate with our clients about the status of their tax return. Since they are communiation texts we send. When we send a text to a client after April 1st. Can we imply that we have their consent because we have texted them in the past? Do we only need to get consent from new clients we have never texted?

First off, this has been the most unprofessional and disappoiinting service I have ever experienced from a compsany of this size.We got 2 of our 3 numbers finally working with text after a month of trying, but our main number is still in "provisioning" status. Who do I call, text, email about this? I have tried every channel available and not a single person was of any use.

Once numbers have been linked to a campaign and you click Done can the list of numbers be modified?

I do not understand why we need to ask for our customer permission to text them, then ask the next time they text us permission to continue to text them. Why can't we just ask in the first opt in the question if its ok if we continue to text them per scheduling service invites things related to our company services

Hello Ring Central,We would like to request a feature update to be able to choose a call queue number and then when the person calls back on that number they get the actual call queue. Now they are able to choose the call queue number as caller ID but when they call back they get the main switchboard. The agent needed to use an auto-receptionist number just to have the people be able to choose the call queue number as their caller ID.Please advise and thanks!Fran

I am cleaning up RC numbers and don't know if I need to keep addition local lines if they are offline. is it costing me to keep inventory?

Hi,I have a question, but let me give some context first. My account currently has only one "main" line. My organization would like to add another distinct phone number to be managed under the same Admin account. Is that possible? And if so, what steps do I need to complete?Thanks

I added a new user, but they can't send send SMS. It says to contact administrator

I would like use the API to assign a phone number from the "number inventory" to an unassigned extension (or a user). How can this be accomplished?

We are unable to send text messages from any new number that is added to our account. We have reached out to support several times and have also filled out the TCR form more than once. It has been over 30 days and we have not heard back from anyone. I have also tried reaching out to our account rep and received no answer. Has anyone been able to get this resolved on their account? We use this feature daily for our business and none of our new employees can text our customers.

Is it necessary to create a campaign for employees to text customers from their personal cell numbers that are not RingCentral numbers & they are not registered to our business? We have some parts employees who text customers to let them know that a part has arrived.

Hello,We need to add a second toll-free number to our company, and have a second IVR setup that will route this toll free number to five new phone numbers. I need these 5 new numbers to be second numbers on existing user phones.Envision running a parallel company with the same employees where depending on which toll free number is called, the person answering will know to say "thanks for calling company a" or "thanks for calling company b" Can this be done? It looks like IVRs are only routing to extensions - so can second extensions be put on phones? I can't imagine I have to have two phones but I can't get this figured out and I've had a case open for 3 weeks with ringcentral and can't get help from them - and my account rep is MIA.Thanks

If I choose email only, are no updates going to be posted in the actual ticket on the support page?I get updates in the ticket that state an email was sent to my address. I would rather have all updates included in the ticket. This way I don't have to sift through emails that pertain to older or other open tickets. I can look at the ticket I'm concerned about and communicate that way.I've had a case open for over 4 weeks now. The ticket was closed once because of lack of communication on my part. I accept that, however; I'm looking at the ticket for updates. Also the first ticket that was closed was updated by 3 different techs from RC. How do I track which is current when 3 different techs are communicating.

We currently only use SMS to remind current employees that their timecards are due or if there are questions regarding their timecards. We do not currently have an "opt-in" procedure.1. Do current employees who are already texting us need to opt-in?2. Are we able to send them a text message asking if they would like to receive timesheet reminders or not and count this as their opt-in or out response?

Can someone explain how to downgrade the Ringcentral phone app to a previous version.I downloaded the most recent one and its not working properly, its been 1 week already and nothing.Need to figure it out while they release a new version.

If we are only using Ring Central for voicemail, do we still have to register for TCR?

I am reading through the TCR requirements for SMS and see that without registration, SMS will be disabled. Honestly, I am not doing ANY outbound SMS with RC, as I only have it on to catch texts from customers who text the wrong number (having it sent to email and I respond with my regular cell text). So my feeling is to skip the TCR and let the SMS be disabled. But I would like to know what outside folks would see if they try to text my RC number AFTER SMS is disabled. Do they get the "this is a landline" notice, or do they just get nothing and not know that I didn't see it? ANy help would be appreciated. Thank you!
